Been a bit of banter between the 2 featherweights and talk of a possible fight.. Who wins and what level do u think this fight is at. Lowe says it sud b a world title eliminator.

Imo lowe best result is a draw with walsh at British title level and gill pulled out of a shot at the British title against mould so I think at best its a final eliminator for British title

It’s a good fight! I’m edging towards gill on points mainly due to lowes inactivity.

Lowe hasn’t really fought much apart from on both undercards of fury vs wilder against. He’s ranked in the top 10 of all the governing body’s but gill only in the wba.

I don’t think this fight will happen, I reckon gill try’s getting a shot at the wba belt

I think the next opponent Lowe will face, after Phillips on Friday, will be Juan Carlos Abel Hernandez Garcia, either him or Julio Ignacio Loserio. I'm making those guesses purely on who he has fought since Walsh. That said, if Gill keeps his new look he could qualify as a typical Lowe opponent, he just needs to work on his accent.

Penfold started all this. Seems like he's just trying to worm in on the Fury-Joshua card for the extra IFL exposure.

Jordan Gill ducked Reece Mould. Said he is beyond domestic level but now fighting Isaac Lowe?

He's ranked 5th with the WBA he doesn't need to fight Lowe.

Gill probably wins a close points decision.

He also put something on his instagram about Gill fighting Mauricio Lara.

Fight not set just abit of needle on twitter. Cant see how gill believes his above domestic level. Boths guys do believe they are but neither have the wins to back up imo

This tick over fight Lowe is having next is a bit of embarrassment to be honest. Lowe is ranked 31st in the world and this bloke is 444th, is that the best his team could do? The bbboc should step in here, the bloke has 5 wins and 6 losses!?

Gill doesn't have the power to do anything at World Level.

Normally I would agree but Jonny Phillips is no slouch.

His been a card filler for fury. The ranking belts give a false realisation of where a fighter is. Lowe ranked high by wbc but down at 9 in the British rankings on boxrec. ( imo cudnt really have him higher than the lads above him).

Gill high ranking with wba by beating a bloke who had lost his last 2 fights.

I think Gills last fight was great viewing. Lowe is another good fight and one which I would look forward to. Close fight and previous to Gills last fight I would of picked Lowe. Gill showed me enough in his last fight to sway me towards favouring him. Cracking fight if it happens.

I rate Lowe and have followed him since the amateurs. He’s a good boxer, very tidy with a solid skill set. I thought he beat Walsh on the Eubank undercard but the draw was a good result. He was looking good against Ceylan too and coming on when that was stopped. His inactivity has been a problem and Gill has been active with a couple of decent fights recently that will stand him in good stead.

The good thing is that Lowe is back out this week and hopefully will be able to push on from here. He’s sparred many rounds with Warrington and I think Lowe gets to Gill late and wins.

Do you know what, I'd really like this fight if it got made.
Lowe, on his day can box really well but he does switch off sometimes and enjoys a tear up. Gill on the other hand has proved to be a solid domestic fighter who has good technical skills, has decent hand speed but lacks real pop to start mixing it up on the world scene.
Lowes inactivity and quality of decent opponents since he fought for the European would be a worrying factor if I'm honest but ye I'd love this fight.

Your post must of appeared as I was writing my previous post.
I agree, Lowe at the time of Walsh and when he fought for the European was a real hot prospect and one to watch who was coming through the small halls but since he left jimmy harrington and started hooking up with Tyson fury he just seems to of lost some ambition, I'm basing that claim on the amount of fights he's had, the quality of opposition and the frequency of his fights. I really enjoyed them days when Lowe was coming through but he seems to of gone backwards since the Ceylon fight.

Think we were on the same lines pal!

Yeah I think you’re right, though in fairness the opponents he has fought whilst being unknown have been tough Mexicans or foreign fighters that as we’ve recently, even in Gill’s case, can be a handful so it’s not completely wasted. That said, Gill’s last two fights have been good for his development since his loss and you’d have to make him favourite if the bout was made, but I do think Isaac has something to offer as long as he starts concentrating on his own career now rather than just waiting for his cousin to box so he can get on the undercard.
