Buatsi has confirmed move to stateside and new trainer Virgil Hunter. A fight over there against someone like Denis Grachev would be a good start.
Desperately needs a step up in opposition and also just as importantly a lot more activity. One of my favorite fighters, but due to a combination of bad luck, injury and poor handling from Matchroom most people still don't know how good he really is. Hope he gets to show it soon...
While I like Buatsi as a fighter and still think he can become world champion, he has been his own worse enemy with his injuries and long layoffs before coming back.
Great move for him. Needs to get settled and have 2/3 fights this year before a meaningful fight next year. Forget the level of opponent, he’s still got a lot to learn. Inactivity is his greatest enemy at present.
Buatsi is going nowhere past Euro level. If he ever even has the balls to challenge decent level boxers Marko Calic probably deserves a rematch on longer notice. They thought Calic was gonna be a walk over job
I’m bored of Buatsi - to me the window to the big time opportunity is closing fast for him. He turned over the same time as Okolie, but the difference is night and day. He has to make a move sooner rather than later - It’s embarrassing that Richards is fighting Bivol before him.
I'll be honest I totally forgot all about Buatsi until I saw this thread. As @Scissors said he has been inactive so needs a couple fights to get him back in the swing if it. He's in danger of becoming a forgotten man although a move to Hunter hopefully propels his career. I still don't know how good he really is yet like most people.
Normal matchmaking, good team. With easy fights climbed so high, ok, 1 fight for test. Guy already is in high places in boxrec and wbo rankings. Cool result. Next easy fight should be done. Very good match making for him had been done.
