Real sad if true. Always thought Marvin was going to hang around like a statue.

He was more than a great champ. A part of boxing culture.

Middleweight is my favourite division and Marvellous Marvin was my favourite fighter.

Today is a truly sad day.

You brought joy and wonderful entertainment to many. You showed the spirit of a true warrior.

    RIP champ.

Rip. Been watching all the old Hagler fights the past few weeks. He was so good. One of the toughest, most bad ass men to ever box and an inspiration for work ethic and never giving up but also knowing when to give it away. Took like 50 fights to get a title shot. Saved his money and wanted to retire after Hearns.

Saw an interview from Hagler less than a year ago and he seemed the very picture of good health. Generally people don’t just drop dead like that. Usually their condition deteriorates over a prolonged period before death. Really scary stuff, makes me contemplate my own mortality.
