Did his handlers bother to come up with a plan?

Looks like their plan was have Thompson throw a few punches and hope Wlad **** his pants in fright.

I think he is trying to let Wlad punch his self out and let it all hang out from the 10th on

I think Thompson is underrated. He is doing much better than I thought he would.

thompson is fighting to go the distance and not really trying to win.

If you asked the right people they would have told you that Thompson was expected to do well and possibly win. It's apparent at this point that if the Thompson they expected to show up had showed up he might have won.

thompson does not have great abilty
he has no head movement/arm punches /and has lettle power.

but he does have a very good chin .

but his mentality is very suspect as well.

what gameplan did you guys expect? wlad's weakness has shown to be stamina and chin (at times). wlad's a very good boxer and has advantages over thompson. i think he's trying to stay in there, make wlad work, and hopefully hurt him and then follow up. at least thompson is putting up a fight and is game.

I wouldn't stand there like a ****ing moron and do nothing, that's for goddamn sure. Klitchsko starts backing up and running for the hills whenever Thompson becomes reasonably offensive.

Thompson is fighting a gutless, uninspired fight. You show your boxing IQ to even ask that.

It looked to me that Thompson's plan was to use his defense and awkwardness to nullify Wlad's jab and protect himself from Wlad's right. Then to hit Wlad after doing some bodywork hit him countershots.

The problem is that Wlad's footwork was far superior to that of Thompson and Thompson just couldn't figure out a way to hit Wlad with many good shots. Plus Thompson's power was simply not good enough for the shots he did land.

He had a gameplan but forgot when Wlad landed that right in the 1st. He smiled, but he also forgot. Went into survival mode. His iron chin delayed the inevitable knockout. And as Tyson said, everyone has a gameplan until you get hit in the mouth. It takes a ton of mental and physical toughness to stay on point.
