Same on all counts. I'm stuffing all this down to enjoy tonight's fights*, but...this will take some time processing.

*Of course he passed on a Saturday. The patron day of the week of warriors & champions.

This is a real shock, it's just so out of the blue, it's just so sad.

I can only echo what's already been said on this thread, he was and will always be a real genuine boxing LEGEND.

    Rest In Peace Champ.

I remember so well debating with a friend before the Hagler-Hearns fight. I favored Hagler and my buddy favored Hearns. Neither of knew what an absolute classic that fight would be. Still one of the greatest I've ever seen 35+ years later

    Absolutely dreadful news...

The guy is approximately the same age as me.

It doesn't seem that long ago I was watching him take on Mugabi and Hearns and Leonard.

    Dead at 66.

I wish I hadn't seen this till tomorrow...it's just ruined fight night for me.

RIP. A pretty depressing day for boxing.

I had recently rewatched the Sibson fight, which I think was Hagler at his peak.

As a fighter and as a man, he was a true man's man and man among men. I will never love the sport as much as I did with him around. It's impossible. He loomed so large for me, I would go so far as to say I felt about him how many more posters felt about even Muhammad Ali. I don't know how I missed this until now. What a kick in the sisters.

After my Father, I have had 2 heroes in life.
    Muhammad Ali & Marvin Hagler.

I feel blessed, honoured and proud to have met both.

    Marvin could do it all.

You wanted to box, he would box, you want to brawl....bring it on.

The word " Legend " is touted about far too loosely sometimes.....not in this man's case.

Thanks for the memories and thankyou for taking the time out allow me to shake your hand.

    God Bless and sleep well.
    X.

My favourite boxer of all time...hell one of my favourite people of all time.

I always knew it would **** me up when he went, but somehow I feel even worse than I ever expected I would.

The guy was an inspiration and truly one of the greatest of all time. Rest In Peace champ :(
