How do you see that fight playing out? Crawford has never fought a boxer as elusive and skilled as Lara, but Lara has fought against a better boxer than Crawford in,Canelo Alvarez. Crawford would have to come forward to make it a fight because he wouldn’t be able to outbox Lara from the outside at long range.

Trying to imagine it - it would be a very interesting clash of styles. It would be really cool to see how Crawford would cope with that style. Lara giving Bud that sublime footwork, peppering him from the outside with the jab. How would Bud handle that? Very similar reach, Bud has a good jab of his own but Lara's movement. Lara should be able to dance his way to a decision, but could he win? At his weight, I think he has a chance to outbox him, but most would favor Bud. Could see Bud jabbing to the body then following up with a straight upstairs.

Would Bud fight Lara, a southpaw himself, southpaw or would he fight him more orthodox? Something tells me that Lara's southpaw stance and his movement / footwork would be very awkward for Bud to deal with.

Crawford isn’t much of a sharp-shooter like Floyd/Ward were. Lara is all wrong for him. Lara is just as rangy, skilled, and a sharp-shooter.

Lara can't move around the ring like he used to. Lara's got a chance to outpoint him from range but I think Crawford catches up to him and does enough to get the win.

Lara has fought against bigger and stronger punchers than Crawford. With the exception of Canelo, Lara isn’t afraid to sit in the pocket with anyone. I don’t see how Crawford wins this fight without taking a beating in return.

Lara is 37 years old! How about Crawford fighting some fighters in their prime. Tired of him fighting older, washed-up fighters.

The thing about Lara, which is not uncommon with the Cubanos, he is highly skilled and he does outbox his opponents, but he is not very flashy and he does not try to steal rounds, and he loses alot of the close rounds to the more popular fighters who are more flash and do know how to 'steal' rounds with a couple of well timed and well placed punches.
Against TC I think Lara is a good, dangerous test, but he will not put any real fear into TC .....the only concern is that it becomes an ugly fight and TC walks away not having performed up to expectations and people coming out and saying he was gifted a decision

How much better was Lara back when he fought Canelo vs now - Has he slowed down a lot?

I imagine Crawford would hide in his cage in Bob Arum's office

Lara would box his ears off and put on a Trout like schooling on Bud's ass. Then Bud would win by near shutout on all three judges cards.

That’s bull****. Crawford walks around at 160+ pounds. Crawford is naturally bigger than Floyd and Manny, and they both have fought at 154.

Bud would do fine at 154, plenty of reach and power.

I take crawford over anybody at 154
    Castano
    Charlo
    Lara
    Gausha

I think crawford beats spence at 147. Crawford is a more natural welterweight where spence drains to get to that weight. 154 crawford spence is a better match.
