@PinoyProdigy DID NOT score it a draw. He had it for Estrada. Also.... you conveniently missed these 3.
I corrected the Pinoy error. Two of the others must have been buried deep in the thread after the fight ended, and one of those guys I have on ignore so I wouldn't have seen his score anyway.
Okay, now... not to be an a-hole here. But are you picking up on a pattern with the people who scored the fight? Pinoy and I are both good judges. We had it for Estrada. IB, sasto, Chuck and Drew are good judges, they either had it 115-114 or 115-113, and said it could be a draw. The other good judges George, McGrain and Professor... it had it a draw. As in all the good judges on here saw a very complex hard to score match. Which means.... IT WAS NOT A ROBBERY.
A robbery is a strong word.. I scored it for Gonzales 7-5. Question is, can close fight be called a robbery? It can be.. since majority had it for Gonzales, similar to majority had it for GGG in the first Canelo fight. If that even make sense.. for the record I have no problem with Estrada getting the nod. Maybe I should word it as, chocolatito is a more deserving winner imo
Fight was too technical for most people to score with high confidence. Both fighters are elite world class technicians who were blocking, moving, avoidinf continuously. The expert judges paid to score the fight were 4 rounds apart from 117 to 113 for Estrada. In a fight that was so close it is almost acceptable. Maybe Estrada actually won 115-113 and the other 2 judges were only 2 rounds out. Anyway, the 117 does seem harsh given Roman was coming home strong but if you didn't realise that boxing politics wins fights, then I am telling you now.
This has happened before with Gonzalez. He loses a razor thin decision and people claim robbery. It's tiresome. Gonzalez could've got the decision, but he didn't. Estrada did. It's not even close to a robbery.
I had it 115-113 to Gonzalez, but also had at least 4 of the rounds 'close', so Estrada victory definitely wasn't a robbery IMO.
