115-113 Gonzales was a fair card. I feel like Gonzales won most rounds. There were some rounds he landed more punches, dictated the ring spacing but the punches he got hit with seemed to affect him more and he seemed a little fatigued. I always felt it was him that was in the greater danger, despite the fact that he was winning most of the rounds. I have to say though LMFAO at the 117-111 Estrada card. I'm mean the guy's own corner was telling him he might need a KO.
Part of this could be we spent 10-15% of the fight staring at the ref's back and 10% zoomed way out at a bad angle.
I had it 116-114 for chocolate. Some very close rnds so either guy winning by a rnd or two was possible. What has people screaming robbery was a judge scoring it 9 rnds to 3 for Estrada. How one judge can see it so wide while the other two saw what the rest of the world saw, a close contested fight.
RIGHT ON SON!!! Lots of checking each other on the body and chin!!! This was a barn burner and I go back and forth 115/113 either guy if just a ****************DRAW
Tight fight but I had Gonzalez clearly winning as far as I could see. Didn't actively score it but it definitely felt like 115-113 if not 116-112
I didn't include you in that half. You I haven't formed an opinion on, but I don't think that you scored the fight for Estrada. I suspect that you are a much better scorer than some of the fellows CST listed there. McGrain also, for instance, I have no idea what his normal scoring looks like. I think anything from 116-112 Gonzalez to 114-114 are acceptable scores, but anyone saying that Estrada should have won needs to look again. McGrain scored it a draw which is fine. I scored it 116-112 Gonzalez and suspect that the truth is 115-113 Gonzalez, but some of those rounds were close and people can be swayed by their biases. I'm biased in favor of Gonzalez. He's my favorite fighter right now and I feel like he's been done dirty, both in the first Rungvisai fight and the way that people wrote him off after the second. I wasn't going to say anything or single anybody out, but CST pressed me on the issue, and in all honesty I think that several of those posters are bad at scoring fights. That doesn't mean that they are stupid. For the most part they are some of the smartest guys on the board. And it doesn't mean that they don't know lots about other boxing things, which they clearly do. But I don't think that they have that particular skill which pertains to scoring fights accurately.
Tight fight. Could have gone either way. I imagine had the decision gone in favor of Chocolatito, plenty would have said Estrada was robbed, albeit not as many. I will say, the rounds I gave to Chocolatito, he won more convincingly, not that it matters.
i scored it 116-112 gonzalez but literally all the rounds were competitive with nether man getting dominated and both landing good shots while constantly working. it was a razor thin fight that could have gone either way.
