Canelo doesn't need Berbiev, Let's see Berbiev grow a pair and move up to HW

Instead of obsessing over Canelo why don't you demand more of other boxers. For example Beterbiev and Bivol. Both guys have/d so much potential but they've been languishing in obscurity because they're unwilling or unable to challenge themselves.

    I agree.

Canelo is doing his thing while Bivol is looking to fight for only money it seems and Beterbiev is knocking on Father Time

Of course Bivol is an elite fighter. Just watch the way he fights. Movement, defence, counter punching, pressing. Elite fighters don't necessarily have granite chins. His boxing ability will limit the amount of punishment he would take in a fight against Beterbiev. Getting koed by Beterbiev doesn't mean you aren't an elite fighter, consider the Nail.

Do you think it is easy for Canelo to make a fight? When he fights, no matter whom, promoters make big money. They throw him a list of tomato cans and they will all say yes for a pay day.

Who wants to fight Bivol or Beterbiev for no money to get KTFO or made to look third rate. Don't blame the boxers on the politics. Do you seriously think Beterbiev is scared of anyone?

If Canelo is so good why doesn't he fight Beterbiev? Because he knows he could take all the peds in existence and still get anniholated. Shot Kovalev clearly threw his fight against Canelo as a yardstick.

Mate, I am the BIGGEST Beterbiev fan on this forum by far.

I know Beterbiev would smash Canelo into 50,000 pieces but business is business and Canelo would never face him....unless he runs out of opponents or promotors stop giving him such high guarantees against bums like Rocky Fielding or Avni Yildrim.

Ginger knows that even with the NSAC & Vegas boxing officials telling him "All you gotta do is be standing at the final bell to win" There no way in Hades he's gonna get in the ring with him.

Exactly. Gvozdyk was winning with two judges at the end of the round before the stoppage. Up to that point he has giving Beterbiev a lot of problems and landing most of the punches. The margins were small though and Beterbiev was landing harder shots and constantly imposing his presence, so I think he should have been winning. But Bivol doesn't have to be much better than Gvozdyk to beat Beterbiev. If he is a bit more skillful than the Nail as a boxer, a bit more durable and has a bit more heart, Beterbiev could well lose. And seeing as Beterbiev is 36 and has had Covid, time is also on Bivol's side.

No. They are lesser names than they should be because they are Russian, and because of poor promotion.

Beterbiev unified with the excellent Gvozdyk (who"d just ended Adonis Stevenson's career)as soon as they both became world champions putting their 0s on the line. That's not the act of someone unwillling to challenge themselves . Plus he fought former world champions Tavoris Cloud in his 6th fight and Gabriel Campillo in his 8th. Don't forget he's been ducked like crazyn Nothing about the beast Artur Beterbiev indicates he would duck a challenge.

And Dmitry Bivol doesn't either, and he has a quite good resume already - Joe Smith Jr, Jean Pascal, Isaac Chilemba, Sullivan Barrera.

He, like Loma, Usyk, Korobov and other amateur greats from former Soviet states, should've turned pro after the previous Olympic cycle to the one he eventually did end up turning pro after. Aside from them leaving too much of their best years and form in the amateurs, fighters from that region of the world typically have to uproot and head to foreign shores to forge a career for themselves because the pro scene in their home countries is sorely lacking to say the least and the risk of getting screwed around or their careers put on hold or even sabotaged by their promoters is even higher over in foreign lands than it is at home.

And it's hardly a coincidence their bodies have all started breaking down on them in their early to mid thirties after having 300-400 amateur fights, especially considering that fighters from that region tend to be gym rats who you rarely see balloon up in weight or out of shape. Artur is notorious for training like a spartan and you cannot train like that for that amount of time without it taking a toll on your body. If he'd turned pro in 2008-2009 instead of 2013 he could've afforded to have all these hiccups and delays along the way and would've achieved so much more and it's a real shame he didn't because he was a wrecking machine at LHW in the ams and feared and respected by everyone in that weight category.

I Think Deines will at least fight back... Yildrim fought literally like he was paid to lose.. That stinks of another dodgy fight from Canelo.. Never even threw a punch with intent.."but he was scared of counters"... Yildrim was throwing several punches at Eubank whilst he was getting KOd yet I'm supposed to believe Yildrim is scared of Canelo's counter before he's even thrown a punch.... There's sparring videos of Canelo and Yildrim and even there Yildrim looks like he's a least trying to land punches even with the prospect tof counters :

It depends if Beterbiev wants an easy retirement payday and play sparring like Kovalev did
