If or when Danny Garcia moves up to 154, who should his 1st fight be against? Sulecki or J Rock maybe? Hurd would be too big for Danny I feel. Or Garcia vs Harrison maybe
Is he talking about moving up? There’s still quite a bit of hay to be made at welter. Not so much at 154, where he is undersized.
Garcia isn't a big welterweight so going up to 154 seems a bit odd, he probably just wants to fight some new faces cause he's fought everyone at 147. I could see him catching the chinnier guys at 154 like Harrison, Williams, and Rosario (Rosario is massive though and Danny would be small for 154). Charlo would beat him comfortably just like Spence did. Interesting move though if he decides to go for it though.
Dannys moving to 154 AKA...Dannys almost done in the sport n doesnt want to put in the work to make 147 anymore so will sell his name one last time at a weight he has almost no advantages at and with no real expectations of actual achievement other than getting a few more checks to take some losses. Maybe Im being harsh but the move reeks of simply not wanting to make weight despite the obvious (that hes too small for 54). We'll see I guess.
Agreed. I guess having lost to most of the top guys at 147, why stick around to be outhustled and outworked?
Kell Brook was looking for a fight, can he make it down to 154? He's got enough wear and tear that I could see Garcia further shattering Brooks glass and getting a nice KO. From there, I agree Harrison is a good option, but also a dangerous one. Should he make it past those two then I say feed him to Charlo on primetime tv. He can still hold his head high when he retires and the win would certainly boost Charlos reputation I don't necessarily agree that Garcia just doesn't want to make weight anymore. Has that been a problem through out his career?
Danny's gonna lose a few times if he goes to 154............I think he's in the twilight of his career.
Danny's a big welterweight. He fills up very nicely on fight night. If he wants to move up to 154, it's because he's having trouble making 147.
