I don't know, prime AJ got beaten by a short fat HW on short notice. That ruined his legacy forever.
Just imagine if prime Fury had been bashed up by Ruiz and then quit.

What about prime fury sleeping on the canvas for 9.9seconds and then coming back to stop wilder in the second fight. Just like lennox lewis losing to rahman and mccall. He came back and won the 2nd fight that everyone knew the first fight was a little bit of a fluke but the end result still cemented their legacies with a small asterisk besides it

Then neither of them belong there. GOAT is a tough one. Especially at heavyweight. They r both top honors for the category tho

Fury has had a goatee beard in the past, I think.
AJ eats goat at Nigerian restuarant, I think.

    The GOAT connections end there.

Given fury's past with Wilder Boar meat, Fury almost certainly eats goat.

If you look at the careers of say Ali or Joe Louis, they literally fought everyone with a shot at beating them in their long careers.

You can't say that of Fury or AJ, at least not yet.

Let's enjoy their fights while they are active. The historical positioning can come later.

I like Fury but he has basically two big wins. Let's see what he does from here on out.

AJ is a good boxer but let's see how he does fighting Fury, Wilder and whomever comes next.

Beating old Vlad and Povetkin is not enough to be called the GOAT.

The winner wouldn't even be the best brit heavy of all time, let alone transform into a goat.

OP should be banned for such a ludicrous statement.

Not getting into that but regardless you've got to hand it to fury and give him his props… The guy will now have fought all the best fighters of his era.. Wlad, Wilder, Joshua.. all of whom are standout punchers too.. 116 KOs between them.. that is impressive. You can't deny that. 2 Olympic gold medalists too. The era debate is futile because you can't blame a man for his birth date. You can only beat the best in your era.

Does on here. In fact no title defences and one belt and a few imaginary titles you can become the goat.

No not really. Winning this fight doesn't get you into the TOP 10.

    Joe Louis
    Muhammad Ali
    Jack Johnson
    Larry Holmes
    Rocky Marciano
    Mike Tyson
    Lennox Lewis
    George Foreman
    Evander Holyfield
    Joe Frazier

    Wladimir Klitshcko
    Jack Dempsey
    Sonny Liston
    Jim Jeffries
    Sam Langford

    It's a tough crowd.
