Peter got back up and was able to clear his head and tough it out and win the match. Brewster is extremely tough, but it was clear to most fight fans he wasnt the same fighter anymore, the eye injury effected him mentally, and we havent seen him since Wlad fought him in July 7 of 07, almost a year to the day.

I think he was so exhausted his legs just weren't responding. it's that feeling you get when you try to tell your body todo something but it just won't.
How long did you box for?

Says the guy with the Haye avatar. There's lots of interesting things we can see even in Ali's record or Foreman's...or Tyson's ...

It's not like Thompson is a unique snowflake. (same goes for wlad).
For instance ,the seemingly invincible prime Foreman did lose against Jimmy Young didn't he ?

similar to the brock ko. thompson kind of turned his head in and wlad landed it right on the chin. very good ko. he fell flat on his face just like calvin too. i must say, tony has a very good chin though. only peter and maybe valuev have better ones amongst the top guys.

Thompson was strong, good body puncher, awkward style..but fizzled and did not press in the later rds...Vlad finished with a Jab followed by a right and in the 11th rd...showing late power...another win over a guy that may have beaten Sam Peter and Chagaev and Valuev

:patsch People are questioning the merits of the knockdown? A short, straight right landing flush on the chin that results in a face first knockout? Holy ****...

I started Boxing when I was about 10, and got involved in 3 different gym's for the better part of 10 years, it's been 2 and half years since my last fight/involvement with a gym. I would love to get back into the sport, but my job and other things leave me no time for the dedication needed to improve and become something.

Did you so see the fight, the guy was looking for a way out for the last 2 rounds, and he found it. I'm not saying the punch wasnt hard, but there are alot of Heavyweights out there right not that could of took that punch and kept fighting. He mentally chose to quit a round ago, so that was bound to happen.

Cool. I know you know what I mean then when you get that feeling of your legs being gone, as it were. I just really experienced it at Golden Gloves against this Mexican dude who went after my body.

nice job Wlad! the result is expected just based on the bookmakers odds that the fight will not last the distance.

It definitely happens, your whole body feels like it's about to shut down and get this weird scared feeling in your body, which makes you want to give up.

How did your fight go? Did you get through it and make it out of the round?
