Totally and completely irrelevant to this thread, but yes, Wilder is wild like McCaskill.

Isn't McCaskill the woman who works as an investment banker? If so then that's good cuz money is not her motivation, boxing is a side gig for her :D

Fury is far better than anybody Shields has fought.

You can only blame so much on dance partners. Shields took on a blood and guts brawler in Franchón Crews-Dezurn in her debut, and that stands as still her most entertaining bout, and it was thanks more to Crews-Dezurn than Shields. McCaskill, on the other hand, forced a thrilling nail-biter on Cecilia Brækhus, whose style is patterned after Wladimir Klitschko's of all people, so, not exactly designed to be the fan-friendliest.

Yes, males also take advantage of the day-before weigh-in system and impose their size on guys that should realistically be a division or two below them - but I'm not fans of theirs either. Guys like JCC Jr. are usually the boxers I hate the most/root for the least.

I certainly wouldn't lump her in with McCaskill, Taylor, Marshall and Persoon if we're talking quality - although she has been manufactured into a bigger 'star' than all four of them combined. Hell, she'd be third fiddle back in the Ann Wolfe and Laila Ali era, with the former having more p4p punching power and the latter more skill.

I'd say there are parallels between her 'dominance' and that of Rousey in MMA. Yeah, they were matched carefully enough to look unstoppable, and they had attributes that did make them a handful, but their accomplishments don't stand up to much scrutiny and their ATG legacies are iffy when you look at their actual h2h ability over a broad enough timeline.
