Sometimes KO's are boring, and often times fights that end in stoppage are boring beforehand.

That typically defines Wlad's fights, like it did today.

    Boring.

If he's a technician, he's a very limited one. A technician should be able to throw a left hook to the body off a right uppercut. I think he has the balance for that sort of thing, and the feet, but he hardly ever does such things. He has a very good outside game.

I was. It was by virtue of handspeed that he was bale to outland Klitschko, was it not?

Peter, Haye, Chagaev are all fights I would like to see.

    You?

Just oh so barely, he squeeked it out. And if a crude Peter is the best thing on Vlad's resume, then our so called undisputed king, really has no clothes.

No, I usually pull for Wlad more often than not.

His most inspiring performance was against Peter, but far. Were it not for him digging deep in that one, his career may well have ended in grave disappointment then and there.

Since then, he does what he has to do, but it's boring.

Wlad wins in dominant fashion, and yet, he still somehow manages to be boring.

    A couple of things:

1 - He needs to be tested. Wlad isn't going to turn in his very best for a fighter like Thompson, who was out of his depth.

2 - Klitschko is only affective at one range, long-range. He has no inside or mid-range game on offence. So his fights are going to be pretty static in nature.

3 - He doesn't trust his own chin. That makes him worry about getting hit. This means he doesn't look to mix it, but pick his shots. He literally didn't chase Thompson until he broke him, mentally. That was actually quite fascinating and horrifying to see, but it isn't entertaining in the traditional sense.

4 - Winning is everything to this guy. Losing the title now would be a personal disaster for him on many levels. If his brother comes to one of the other belts, we may see him loosen up a bit. That probably wont' happen though.

5 - Why should he change? He's making money, beating top fighters, and he's on his way to all time great status. If it ain't broke, dont' fix it.

I think if haye met wlad the fight would not go by 3 rounds, what with haye going all out and wlad using the jab and trying to counter,as well as both haveing suspect chins it wont last long.I like Haye but im not a haye nuthugger!I was skeptical of him takeing on wlad b4 i watched the big shitbag 2nyt,i am convinced that Haye would take him out inside 3 now!!

I've written enough pro-Wlad pieces to dismiss this comment on its face.

I give credit where credit is due. Wlad is the best fighter out there in a subpar division. He does what he needs to do and manages to win consistently.

He does not have a crowd-pleasing style, plain and simple.

I don't disagree with any of this.

But still, what does this do for the fan?

At least Wlad's fights aren't on PPV. Then people would be really pissed.

Right. You started the thread saying that Vlad is a boring sack of ****. I'm sure you've spent a lot of time writing pro-Vlad "pieces." Dopey.
