Khan got a massive site fee from Saudi Arabia which 99.9% of fighters wouldn’t get. The tv right fees weren’t the money driver for that simply an extra earner.

what was the last UK ITV show that was not PPV?

even Eubank vs DeGale with Joyce vs Stiverne was PPV.

I reckon we would get a lot of free tv Hennessy shows if they were all shown from Saudi with some rich prince bankrolling it. Would soon get people moaning they can’t get a ticket and it’s never in the uk though

Such poor argument when the fight you refer to was shown on Sky Sports. What a numpty. You saw a fight from the US on Sky and have based your free TV argument around it haha

Spence v Mikey Garcia is the only good fight I can remember free on terrestrial tele in the last few years.

We are both wrong. Wilder was on sky but there are several fights that were on freeview itv 4 in 2019.

    https://www.wheresthematch.com/channels/ITV.asp?sportid=9 check out this link.

I think I confused it with pac v broner

Yes but pac vs broner or any fight not involving a UK fighter or UK time zone is not going to cost a lot or be valuable to broadcasters hence why itv stopped broadcasting when the viewing figures were terrible

What's frustrating is that Whyte, Chisora, Povetkin and Parker currently have no other real genuine opportunities to make mega money anywhere else with anyone else. There's no real competition to prise them away. What other options do these lads above have of making decent money? Whyte just got chinned, Chisora is a gatekeeper, Pov is old and shot and Parker hasn't even got much appeal....so why are they on a PPV platform? Hearn could realistically turn around to all 4 fighters and say that you can headline a normal Saturday night or there's no fight for you. Where do they go...who else could put them on PPV...who else even would??? There is no competition for these fights so there is no need to charge more to put them on. Greedy b*****ds.

    Spot on mate completely.

If people want to think 10 losses Chisora V Parker is worth paying extra for, then they need their heads testing.

The rest i wont comment on, but greedy B******s is a compliment to them, and they should remember it when they end up with eff all.

    Spot on.

In the last 3 years Hearn has put the following heavyweight fights on PPV:

    Whyte v Parker
    Whyte v Chisora 2
    Whyte v Rivas
    Whyte v Povetkin 1
    Usyk v Chisora
    Povetkin v Whyte 2
    Chisora v Parker.

None were for a world title and only one was an eliminator.

Chisora has lost both of those mentioned and is somehow back on PPV for a third fight against a fighter who also lost in one of the above fights.

Chisora says he hasn't watched the Usyk bout back due to the fact that Smith and Macklin don't give him enough respect.

01:55 in he says he beat Usyk.

"Boxing is about fighting, who chucks the most and I was chucking the most. I was chasing the fight, he was not doing anything."

Funny that, considering he got buzzed at one point and it looked like Usyk could've got him out of there. Chisora is an absolute lemon.

I think this is the worst PPV headliner he’s ever done and I wouldn’t be surprised if the numbers were poor for this.
