They're both ducking. Crawford thinks he's worth 50, Spence thinks he's worth 75, nobody willing to tell them they're both wide of the mark because both teams know there's an undersized 42 year old legendary cash cow that will instantly validate either sides demands should they beat him. This fight simply won't happen until one of them beats Pac, I'm certain of that.
i had not looked at it from that perspective, that neither wants to lose the pac sweepstakes. its possible. although, i think they would make more money fighting each other, than fighting pac. everyone knows they are considered the 2 best welters by most people so their fight would create huge interest. with pac, theres not gonna be any debate on who the a side is, and whos getting the big slice. on the other hand, being the one to beat pac, while he holds a title, does carry some clout.
They're ducking each other, which is kind of amazing because I did not think such a thing could be possible. Has there ever been another case in boxing history where both guys were scared shitless of the other?
i agree with him that he is the a side, but i dont think it should be an issue that should stop the fight from happening. he has beaten better welters to bigger crowds, he deserves more. but in fairness to crawford, it shouldnt be a whole lot more, he is a top p4p lister. i would say between an 8 to 13% difference feels fair to me. and same numbers apply to rematch, with winner of first fight getting larger percentage. so all crawford has to do is win first fight, and he ends up with equal pay after the rematch.
None of them really want to fight each other, spence has acc shown proof of him not wanting crawford. But lets be honest if they wanted to fight each other they would have sent each other offers and contacted there team etc. Who BTW paquiao is literally doing he is the real one here not spence or ****ing crawford. I used to be really high on crawford but how he is talking lately he has let me down.
Speaking of Pac... When TF is he gonna announce the fight? I'd love for him to fight Spence. He's the easiest matchup with styles between Mikey and Crawford.
How? He was afraid to fight Manny to win the belt so he got the sanctioning body to move Manny out of the way and putting Ugas in.
You're assuming Manny wants to fight Spence. He won't even face Crawford. Beating Ugas wouldn't be a bad win either. Most folks won't give anyone credit for beating Manny (if it happens) anyway.
