Aye it's a rip off, feel sorry for the Northerners who could spend £20 on a new house instead.

    Cheers Eddie

Many just view it as entertainment. You probably spend as much (or more) to hit the cinema. What you do with your dough is up to you, and if you enjoy it, then, what's the problem?

Well, the issue is the downgrading of the product. PPV is supposed to showcase the best fighters in the world. Title fights. Ideally, unification's. Not just a good ol' scrap between familiar faces. Whyte and Chisora are reused like the cast of a soap opera. Povetkin managed to beat the former, and he looked terrible before that uppercut. Neither can be seen as genuine threats. You're not getting real quality but you are expected to pay. Then we have Chisora-Parker. What has either man done in the last...two or more years? Both also have a habit of fighting sloppy past six rounds. What's the sell here other than familiarity?

Sadly, that is enough for most (perhaps with the irritating assurance of Mr. Smith), but it's making fighter's entitled, and that is hindering the bigger fights from happening.

So, yes, in spirit, the OP is correct.

Love or hate Hearn you’ve got to admit what he’s done here is brilliant. Watching them all on the plane over etc. Hopefully brings a good nights entertainment.

Just consider the last performances of these two ppv headliners. It’s crazy. This is the standard people are accepting.

What has either man done in their entire career to warrant headlining a pay-per-view?

Nothing. But people will buy because they are gullible and are easily sold to.

Whyte vs Parker was one the best events in recent times. The main event was very entertaining fight, Takam vs Chisora was a war that ended with higlight reel KO win for the underdog, Allen upsetting and KOing Webb, Benn in an entertaining rematch fight with Peynaurd that many thought would beat Benn. Taylor in a unification fight. Whilst the at the time talented prospects Fowler, Buasti and Riakphore also on the card.

I thought Whyte vs Rivas was a decent card too.

I’ll watch the BT card and stream the main event.

Don’t care if it’s a few pints, price of a Chinese, Dominos whatever - not a chance I’m paying 20 quid to watch that shower of sh!te.

Noticed that you appear to be going heavily against the grain on here with opinions on the card.

I buy Box Office at times when it is justified AJ v Klitschko and Fury v Wilder for example where we are buying fights for world titles with elite fighters on the bill.

The Matchroom Card on Saturday has neither and looks like a basic Saturday evening of boxing.

I will watch the live BT Sport card on Saturday and will most likely have the same level of entertainment and enjoyment.
