Why do people get so annoyed at people’s choice of buying a fight lol it seems so personal. Would I pay it? No. Will others? Yes. You’d think you don’t get a choice in the matter judging by some reactions.

Some people happy to pay PPV just for main event like yourself (the two you mention actually had very weak undercards) others expect a stacked card for PPV. Myself, I will pay for PPV depending if a fight or card interests me.

I can understand why people are not keen on it as isn't as stacked as the Whyte vs Parker, AJ vs Ruiz 2 and Whyte vs Rivas cards which weren 3 of best cards in thebpast few years. I'm interested in watching the event as I am want 2 of the top 5 fight HWs fight a rematch to their first fight that was very entertaining, 2 high domestic level fights that should close and competitive fights and I am keen on seeing Wardleys development (as I was and still am with Dubois) as I believe he has potential.

Disagree, I can't think of too many cards as stacked and as entertaining than these two events the past 3 year.

Think the reality is if you want good fights you need to fork out for them. Boxings thriving off the back of ppv imo. When has there ever been a time...you,ve got decent fights lined up almost week to week at times.

You used to wait months for half decent fights.

It is what it is. 20 quids a cheap night for a weekend. Tbh i dont begrudge guys like whyte, chisora etc. Yeah their never gonna be elite...but tbf they dont half put on a fight at times. Dangerous sport...you,d be crackers to do what they do for 40,000 a fight or something like that bearing in mind the cost of training camps...people to pay etc. Fought their way up to the top ten level taking short money for years. I m not sure either guy will leave boxing the way they came in in terms of faculties etc. Least i can do for my entertainment is make sure these guys dont end up needing a job after boxing...with what i,ve seen they,ve gave enough over the years. Thats the way i look at it anyway.

I ditched Sky last year and Box Nation went as soon as BT Sports hogged all the decent fight cards and to be honest, I haven't missed it.

If the Misses is off mountain biking for the weekend, I'll get a Fight Night on Now TV or just wait til the morning.

I don't begrudge anyone paying for PPV or the fighters getting the dosh, I just don't need boxing in my life quite as much nowadays. I'll happily wait a day or two and watch it on YouTube.

Standard sky sports repeats the fight about a week or 2 later.

If I remember right the Whyte v Parker card was slated heavily beforehand as being a very poor card. It was only in retrospect that it's spoken about so positively mainly due to the Co and main event. They saved Eddie that night. Let's be honest the last Whyte v Povetkin card was very poor and Povetkin took all the negativity away with a single punch.

I don't blame people for buying these events. We can't go out anywhere, we're stuck in the house and there's nowt else to do. I do blame Hearn though for the poor product. Whilst it was proper funny watching Whyte get chinned, it's given Hearn license for another easy PPV. I've not forgot how woeful Povetkin looked in that 1st fight. I honestly think Wardley could take him right after he's just starched Molina. I can't believe the narrative by Sky for Whyte is a comparison to Lewis getting his revenge against Rahman.

No, I am not the problem. Just because you’re unhappy that you have to pay to watch this fight doesn’t mean I’m wrong for deciding to do it. Usually I’d go to the pub for these but if I want a Saturday night in, I’ll pay £20 and it’s not an issue. Watching boxing isn’t a god given right fella - it all costs you these days. If you don’t want to pay, that’s fine, find an alternative. Sign of the times. I still want to watch so I’ll pay rather than getting a virus on my pc from a dodgy stream.

I appreciate that most people on here see themselves as hardcore boxing fans and that by paying for a PPV they feel like they’re selling out. That’s fine, and I can understand you doing that. However your principles probably aren’t going to change anything and if this fight does a couple hundred thousand on buys it has been justified for the promoter.

The way I see it is I can sit and ***** about it on a forum and get a few likes on an anti-PPV post, sit on the moral high ground but have to either listen via radio or live text (or just read the report in the morning.) Or I can just bite the bullet, not be arsed about the £20 at this time and pay and enjoy the boxing.

Exactly. Don’t know why someone watching the fight upsets so many people? It literally doesn’t affect anyone else. I’m not a fan of my Mrs spending £30 getting her nails done but it’s nout to do with me so she can crack on if that’s what she wants to spend her money on.

    Original that one pal

And youre the absolute definition of a little sheep. "mugth" copying a ****ing idiot on here who pretends to be a Liverpool fan.

As i said he will be kicking back enjoying the fights whilst you're worrying about fuzzy streams and ranting on the internet about it. He's winning.

This is the exact problem that is faced by organisations which are trying to induce consumer-required social change.

Some people just love being sold to, one way or another. These are the same people who fall for TV Adverts and % off RRP when the RRP is false etc. Even if they feel like the principles opposing the consumption are valid, as others have pointed out, apathy stops the consumer from acting upon those principles. Then there's people like you who just don't give two hoots and are willing to sponsor Eddie Hearn's growing property investment portfolio, Dereck Chisora's new souped up Range Rover, Dillian Whyte's new £50,000 hallway rug etc.

All while the same event can be enjoyed for free at the Angling Club.

I know who the mugs are!
