Floyd is more skilled but they’re styles and attributes are completely different, so it doesn’t really matter...
I see what you’re saying. For as good as Crawford is at switching stance, he’s not masterful at either stance. His killer-instinct makes up for a lot of mistakes he make in the ring, but unfortunately, I don’t know if there’s anyone who can beat him at 147. Spence is too basic and predictable to get it done.
Crawford looks very basic and beatable when you simply make him lead and offset his rhythm with good timing and well-placed straight punches. Mean Machine and Brook showed the blueprint on how to beat him, but unfortunately, Spence isn’t good enough of a sharp-shooter to get it done.
impossible to know until he steps up , mid 30s and his best wins were years ago against gamboa and postol.
What are your eyes telling you though? Does Crawford looks extraordinary like prime Roy Jones, Floyd, etc?
I don’t. Spence is good at what he does. He’s a good body puncher, can cut the ring off well, but he’s simply not sharp and hyperactive enough to beat Crawford. He’ll play right into Crawford’s hands by trying to outfight him instead of staying on the outside and making it a thinking man’s game. Crawford is there to be hit, but mostly by straight punches.
Yes. I think Spence is good enough to get it done and I would favor him vs Bud. He might not be a good enough sharp-shooter but Bud isn't that hard to hit. Bud is relatively slow on his feet, Spence has way better footwork. Bud has solid fundamentals but he's there to be hit and wouldn't be able to get out of the way enough to avoid Spence's combos. I would favor to Spence to pick him apart. Spence has a much higher workrate than Bud so even if he misses some, he can outwork and overwhelm Bud.
Quite honestly there is no real way of accurately determining Crawford’s true skill level because he hasn’t really tested himself, for all the flack Floyd gets dude fought HOF level fighters in every division but 140, Crawford to this point hasn’t fought anybody that cracks the top 100 in this decade. people talk about TC’s style and equate style to skill, but any style can beat any style if the levels are different see Mayweather-Canelo a wide 9-3 type fight where Floyd landed damn near 200+ punches and Canelo-Lara a close 50/50 fight people say the style as the same but Lara landed 90 punches and ran his ass off half the fight.. 2 fighters similar styles vastly different levels one dominated one fought scary. As intriguing as a lot of these fighters look they ain’t fighting nobody, we need to stop overpaying fighters for bum ass fights guys like Floyd,Manny, even Canelo mow earned they spot..TC needs to fight somebody people give a damn about before he catches an L and fades into Obscurity
