that may be but it will not change things. Burley is forever invisible to the public while someone like Lamotta is immortalized because his film was great PR, making him quite famous. With it, audiences were able to gain insight into Lamotta the man in which we could see his human side "what was you doing talking to those guys?"

    You like italian fighters?

Thanks but I am not impressed in the least

My feelings about him are only confirmed

nowhere near what is considered a complete fighter

A CAUTIOUS fighter to be sure which is why he is without a championship

He was fighting a Light Heavyweight, and one who knocked out Lloyd Marshall.

Cautious fighter or not, he clearly had an effect on Smith. In their rematch he held so much he had SIX points deducted. If Burley's offense was good enough to make a man as murderous as Smith fight like Henry Akinwande, it was good enough for anybody.

David Avanesyan boxed better than Burley.. Better command of the fundamentals.

I'd say yes but no also. Physically and skills without question but his first bout with Vito and his fight with Duran have always been a crack in his armor for me, two bouts I think he could have dominated and maybe stopped both instead of close wins. The second bout with Vito was different but so was Vito who cut quickly. Both were in the mental frame of Marvin and something you never saw in a Robinson or Monzon.
