If the 2 fights between AJ and Fury take priority and are allowed to by the sanctioning bodies, then any chance of Wilder getting title shot is way way distant, that is of course not even factoring in the mandatory challengers. If Fury is the holder of all the belts then would a 3rd fight against Wilder be a big big money making fight, i do not think so, Fury has shown he has Wilders number every time. If AJ was the Champion would Wilder be willing to take a very thin proportion of the fight purse, as that is what would be on the table. With the covid pandemic getting under control albeit slowly, there will be plenty of punters who are craving to watch big name bouts and Wilder still is a big name, so get his ass back in the ring and earn those $$$££££s whilst he can, ok if it against a couple of non top ten fighters initially so be it, even Fury dredged bottom of barrel in a couple of warm up fights after his career hiatus. After warm ups i would say Wilder vs Ruiz would generate decent purses and revenue, ex champ vs ex champ, Mexican influence blah blah.
I meant now. If he waits until late this year he may have been 18-20 months out of the ring. Not good.
