That was a proper stoppage. Otherwise Povetkin could have been seriously hurt. He had a hell of a career. It's definitely time to retire.

Good finish but as I expected Povetkins legs were clearly gone before a lunch was thrown. Add in serious covid and it was a gimme.

No doctor in this country would have allowed Povetkin to box tonight surely?

I’m just glad the bloke didn’t get seriously hurt.

Did anyone actually pass Pov as fit to fight? He was struggling for breath just walking into the ring and definitely had not trained at all, you could tell by how soft he looked.

This has been known since 2014.

    Wilder would starch Whyte also.

Well true but every time he strung a couple of steps together in a straight line without resembling a town drunk, the rights on the body kept him in check. It was the story of the fight within the context of Whyte's strategy taking advantage of what stood in front of him.

I don't think there is any demand for a third fight here

Do you actually rate that win? Povetkin looked really bad in there, he may be nominally top 4 but in reality that wasn't a top 4 fighter anymore, not even close.

Whyte wanting a third fight with Povetkin! He knows he had the decks stacked in his favour again and Povetkin had Corona.
