Its not just the Covid alone.
    Here are the things.
With age your metabolism is getting slower and slower.
He was hospitalized several time, he suffer hard Covid, which means he lost a lot of muscle mass, due to the illness and that he couldn't train and eat regularly. And in most cases, due to your body is use to certain food and training, you will most probably gain some fat as well.
Yeah you will get your weight back, cause of muscle memory, but that ain`t a functional muscle mass, that is important for the athletes, cause of the COVID.
Povetkin needed at least 6 months from the second Covid to recover fully, to gain the RIGHT functional muscle mass back and then to scheduled the rematch, to have a 8 weeks rock solid camp to even stand a chance at that advance age he is.

I mean there really is some loss avenging, but this one, and the likes of Lewis vs McCall 2 aren`t such.
This is just a record pudding.

Regular or actual WBA belt didn't mean a whole lot back then either way. Chagaev was the WBA champ. Got stripped when he went to unify the title with Wlad and then Valuev Haye fought for it.

The 'regular' WBA belt was just the WBA being more brazen with what they did prior with Chagaev.

Povetkin before the fight even started looked like I look when I'm doing RBR's for the Aussie fights at 5 in the morning, listless, bleary eyed and nodding off..

Forget this guys say. First fight was heavily competitive. You can pretty much give all the first 3 round to Povetkin, and 4th obviously was a 10-7 round, and the fight was pretty much even.
Not to mention referee was doing a wet job with all the Whyte low blows, and they were like 5-6-7, and not a word of course.
Look at this referee as well. He was pretty much let them wrestle, cause it was quite obvious that Whyte weight a lot more and Povetkin was shot to s*****.

Guys for me is difficult to get about WBA belts at all. They does have so many these belts.
Didn't had Charr one from their belt despite did not had fight almost 3 years and just recently had appeared without this belt?

Ruiz is a bad matchup for Whyte stylistically. He has a solid if not granite chin and can counter with KO shots.

I've posted a lot on this site, don't recall every interaction.

But as you can see, I thought it would be an easy win for Povetkin, you since he knocked him out first time around.

As I said, I lost money tonight, bad result for me.

There is no opposite shore though, be a fan of whoever you want, makes no difference to me.

Tonight your guy won and my guy lost. Maybe next time it will be different.

They're all the same to me tbh.

Right now Fury is number 1, the belts AJ has are worthless to me.

WBA Super or WBA regular are both worth nothing if they aren't worn by the number 1 in the division.

I agree belts are second to being #1 in the division, but I'll still give a little respect to the WBA super, and the top belts of the other 3 top alphabets. Just not the other nonsense belts like the regular, interim, and other belts the WBC has concocted recently.

But I respect your stance and I think your opinion is still reasonable enough, so I'll go with "agree to disagree."
