Well, Ngannou has made some slight improvements. Makes sense after years of practice in the gym. I am most impressed with his footwork. But he also showed decent footwork in the first fight, right up the point when fatigue kicked in.
Boom! Stipe couldn't get settled or find any kind of rhythm. Francis looked powerful and poised. Surprised Stipe went in so recklessly there.
Nah. He fought smart here and got hurt badly in both rounds. And at this point age and damage are likely to catch up with him as well. Maybe. But then again, Jones struggled badly with Santos and Reyes. Both guys landed a lot of wild shots on him.
Holy ****, Ngannou looked so so much better in every department, was so patient and poised, waited patiently and didn't try to rush Stipe when he was hurt, really ****ing impressed with him man, only question that remains... can he keep this patient pace up for 5 rounds.
It was a good shot by Miocic but he left himself wide open. Didn't expect that from him. UFC fighters just can't box for ****.
I think it was the first opening he really had and since the momentum was on Ngannou´s side, Miocic tried to take advantage. Too bad that Ngannou is at his best when countering. I also think that Miocic likely didn´t realize just how hurt he was and that is why his rush was so wild.
Ngannou is very accurate, for real. He looks wild but he is very accurate and was even more so tonight.
