well you and I saw this real similar. The only difference is the 2 even rounds you had I called narrow for Thomas.

I actually thought it was close as well. The biggest thing that I think won it for Berbick was that he closed strongly, with power, speed, and stamina, and he rocked Thomas in the 11th. Thomas finished throwing lazily and with his legs close together and he was winded.

I thought SRL did a good job giving insights on the fight as it was unfolding. He was a pretty good TV guy in hindsight

Picking Ray to do commentary was a great choice for the network. He seems to have insights that the public is not quick to catch onto

Of note, upon the replay of the first Pryor Arguello fight " I don't know where he got the energy from" since it was later to be discovered the illegal activities of Lewis and yes, I'm quite sure that he did give Aaron a stimulant

another note worthy comment from Ray followed the Cooney Norton fight, a very foolish fight for Kenny to take, saying the the ref waited too long to step in with Kenny taking several clean blows to the head.

I had expected Thomas to not do as well as a prime Holmes, even with Berbick's advancing age. I figured a 12 rd UD, but not by a wide margin. I was astonished Pinky lost, though. I had Berbick ahead by three points...I personally saw Thomas' admittedly, bizarrely underused jab as mostly foiling Berbick's aggression. I saw Berbick as looking for a ko through a lot of this, but Thomas popped his not quite Holmes but still great jab just enough to keep him from doing serious damage and being totally dominant. That said, Trevor did a great job of staying busy and seeming to (shockingly) dictate the fight way more often than anyone could have dreamed.

After seeing the consensus, my scoring wasn't as bad as I initially thought. PT got the same number of points by consensus as I gave him and TB only got 2 fewer points. I scored 9-1-2, the consensus was 9-3...That was a strange fight to score, most rounds were close but PT just got edged in a lot of rounds. When I posted my score I thought it was going to be an "outlier" but it turned out that most of you had similar scores.
