    BTW, here's a slightly clearer video of the fight:

    Any interest in posting your card rbr to give us another one to contrast? Either way thanks for the video link and the thoughts.

    The letters above my score are my RBR. O = Ohba, g = Gonzalez. That's how I keep track when I'm watching, and my posts always take up more space than I'd like anyway. Doing it that way means fourteen fewer lines of text.

    It will be interesting to compare our cards and see how many rounds we differ. This fight is hell to score and I don’t think there is really even 1 wide round where one guy dominated. I scored 7 rounds different from my last review, I scored 1-8 exactly the same and 9-15 exactly and still had it 3-3-1 over those 7 rounds. No argument from me for anybody’s scorecard on this fight even if you have it exactly opposite from me...I had it exactly opposite from myself lol.

    Well, if nothing else I'm glad I look like slightly less of a goof now.

    Yes, I'm scoring it now. Of the first 5 rounds I've got Ohba, (the guy in the white trunks?) winning 1,2,4,5, Gonzalez (dark trunks?) winning round 3. So far, Gonzalez has backed up too much against a taller fighter. When he comes forward he does better.
    6th - Gonzalez more aggressive, went forward, his best round so far
    7th - Gonzalez backing up for the first half of the round, then got more aggressive and did better, still thought Ohba won the round overall.
    8th - Mostly even fought round, Gonzalez landed a good right hand around the 2:00 minute mark, enough to edge the round on my card.
    9th - EVEN, both fighters had the edge at times, too close to call. Ohba 5 rounds, Gonzalez 3 rounds, 1 EVEN.
    10th - Ohba round, Ohba 47, Gonzalez 44 after 10, Ohba up 6-3-1
    11th - Gonzalez round, Ohba 51, Gonzalez 49, 6-4-1
    12th - EVEN Ohba 56, Gonzalez 54, 6-4-2
    13th - Close, Gonzalez round. Ohba 60, Gonzalez 59, 6-5-2
    14th - Gonzalez round close...Ohba 64, Gonzalez 64, 6-6-2 (When Gonzalez goes forward, he does well.
    15th - EVEN both fought hard and both won portions of the round both deserved to win the fight. Ohba 69, Gonzalez 69....6-6-3 in rounds.

    Hard fought fight, Ohba looked hurt more than Gonzalez when he got hit, maybe because he was taller and thinner. Gonzalez as the shorter fighter did well when he went forward and not well when he backed up.

    Still got 3 days to watch score or discuss this fight. I would say I am most impressed by Ohba’s jab. I had forgotten how impressive it was.

    This was my score from the first time I saw this bout 4 years ago and what I wrote.

    Gonzalez-Ohba. 5 point must system in effect.

    Round 1: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 2: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 3: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 4: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 5: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 6: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 7: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 8: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 9: 5-5 Even
    Round 10: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 11: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 12: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 13: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 14: 5-5 Even
    Round 15: 5-4 Gonzalez

    Total: 69-68 Ohba

    I was so impressed with Gonzalez. So sharp and so economical with his shots. I can see why he had something like 45 KOs to his credit. He didn't really solve the height and reach issue that Ohba presented until the 7th. After that he was playing catch-up and came up just shy in the scoring. What's noticeable is the complete lack of bodywork. They were head-hunting from start to finish. A really good fight and Gonzalez looked like he could have easily done another 5 rounds while Ohba was dragging that last round.

    This is my score after re-watching and re-scoring it today.

    Round 1: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 2: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 3: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 4: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 5: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 6: 5-5 Even
    Round 7: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 8: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 9: 5-5 Even
    Round 10: 5-4 Ohba
    Round 11: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 12: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 13: 5-5 Even
    Round 14: 5-4 Gonzalez
    Round 15: 5-4 Gonzalez

    Total: 70-68 Gonzalez (actual scores: 72-70, 71-70 and 72-71 all for Ohba)

    Really nothing wrong with anyone's score on this as long as its close. Just two outstanding technicians at work.

    Thanks to all who participated and rewatched, scored and discussed this fight.

    We have 5 new score cards that give us a SD/MD (I took the liberty of modifying a few cards to reflect the 5 point must system that was in place).

    Ohba cards:
    @George Crowcroft 68-67
    @clum 69-66
    @PhillyPhan69 69-67

    Gonzalez cards
    @scartissue 70-68

    Draw cards
    @Pat M 69-69

    RBR Consensus
    1 Ohba 4-1
    2 Ohba 5-0
    3 Gonzalez 5-0
    4 Ohba 5-0
    5 Ohba 5-0
    6 Gonzalez 3-1-1
    7 Gonzalez 4-1
    8 Gonzalez 5-0
    9 EVEN (2 for Ohba- 0 for Gonzalez and 3 EVEN)
    10 Ohba 5-0
    11 Gonzalez 3-2
    12 EVEN 2-2-1
    13 Gonzalez 3-1-1
    14 Gonzalez 5-0
    15 EVEN 2-2-1

    A Surprising 7-5-3 70-68 victory for Gonzalez. I would say a 2-3 pt win for either guy is in the realm of a realistic score for this fight? I guess 9 could be termed an Ohba round? I was not sure how to score it as a consensus? Ohba won on 2 cards Gonzalez on 0...I just felt the 3 EVEN round cards should get the majority verdict. Thanks again
