Carl can hold his head high, he's come undone at this higher weight. Still showed glimpses of his past self. Well done to Herring, that was a great performance, he accurate, fought tall like he needed to, didn't let Carl off the hook at all.

The corner was right to throw the towel, but Frampton is a warrior and this was his final fight so he probably wanted go out on his shield.

Herring was way to big for him. That is definitely the best I have seen him look

I think he really wanted that, the legs just weren’t there at all - great fighter in his day, went out on his shield.

Won a bit of cash on that but sorry to see Frampton go out like that. Hope he was well paid but was a great fighter in his prime. Just very undersized in there.

Carl's been pretty done since the Santa Cruz 2nd fight really. Not ever been the same since that, he really should have called it quits after Warrington, but great career

Agree frampton should retire. A great career, reach and height was always going to be too much. Herrings lady is a bit too nice, especially the attire

That wasn't Carl Frampton. There was no energy, no snap to his punches. That was a fat flat-footed plodder and Herring put him out of his misery.

Nice finish by Herring. Frampton tried to close the gap and battled away but Herring was just too big and strong.

Frampton looking okay in the 6th, but Herring landing some sharp shots. Lands a massive left uppercut and Frampton goes down seriously hurt. He is clear headed but getting pinged with hard shots as he gets up - he doesn’t have the speed or confidence to grab the bigger man and the towel comes in - TKO6 Herring.

I hate using this analogy, as I feel it’s somewhat disrespectful, but Frampton did embody a shot fighter tonight. He was too slow, didn’t have the foot speed that made him so good in his prime. Herring isn’t brilliant by any stretch but was too sharp for Frampton tonight.

Wow what a pick a 5-10 southpaw beating a 5-5 guy who started at 122
