If Herring and Hamed had been born in the same decade who would have won in a bout? I feel Herring would have been to big and skilled for Hamed, could Naz have done better than the featherweight Frampton did v the bigger Herring?
Hamed tears Herring a new one. Stoppage in under 8 rounds for Hamed. Hamed is levels above anyone Herring has ever been able to beat. A washed up Frampton who was already retired in his own mind prior, is hardly a great win either.
Can Hamed beat Frampton? Hmmm. Maybe, but in a h2h matchup against herring at 130, i dont like his chances. Herring isnt an Augie Sanchez.
Prime Hamed with intact hands destroys Herring and beats a prime Frampton also. Revisionism can take you too far. Hamed was hyped and came up short to an ATG, but he was a very fast, powerful and elusive fighter at his best. Sometimes it feels that gets forgotten.
Exactly this, he was overrated in his pomp but now he's becoming wildly underrated. His mindset let him down v MAB and he never recovered that spirit but he was still a phenomenal fighter
Frampton is half an inch taller than Naz who started at bantam and struggled with tall opponents and with Kelly`s reach.
So what? Soto had an iron chin he was only stopped twice in more than 80 fights and that was when he was way past it and one of them was with a bodyshot . Him going the distance with Hamed doesnt detract from the fact that Hamed was one of the hardest punchers in featherweight division history and would send Frampton to another galaxy. Herring fights at 130 a weight Naz never fought at so a fight between them would most likely never happen with that said Hamed was at least a couple of levels above Herring as a fighter.
sure, but he would be another midget outsized in a division he has no buisness being in. Did you see all the excuses everyone was making for frampton on here? Just imagine how bad the excuses would be if he were to do that to Hamed.. anyways its hypothetical so if you think little Hamed can knock out Herring, cool.
Taking nothing away from MAB, but Hamed was not the fighter he was, he’d become lazy, unfocused and totally self absorbed, zero hunger, only for the limelight an money. Steward was shocked when he took over training him for the fight how bad he was
