If the Patrick Ford fight is anything to go by Sanchez seems to have trouble with slick fighters so I would guess he would have serious trouble with Pedroza . Id go for a pedroza SD, could go either way really though
Unless you got a ref who would really force the issue with Eusebio and take points for the fouls he would surely commit, I see Pedroza eeking out a close (and probably disputed) decision. On the whole I don’t think it would be pretty as their styles wouldn’t mesh well. The uglier it gets, the more it favors Pedroza. I’ll go with Pedroza MD 15 with Eusebio winning by one point on one card, even on another and losing by 4-5 points on the third.
I would take Sanchez. Two legends. People always point to the Patrick Ford fight as evidence that Sal would struggle with Pedroza, also a long, tall, lanky boxer. I get the logic, but I don't think the Ford fight represents Sanchez at his best. I think that was clearly Sanchez on an off-night. I would compare it to Erik Morales' fight with in Jin Chi. Chi fought one hell of a fight, but I don't think you can watch that fight without having the impression that Erik was off his game (for whatever reason). Although Sanchez definitely looked vulnerable against Ford, when I look at his career overall I don't get the impression that his ability to deal with crafty, conversative boxers was a glaring weakness. Also...Pedroza had his fair share of poor performances too.
I’d pick Sanchez. I know it would be hard but he was a pure winner and his best was better than Pedroza’s, and his talent was more rare. He’d figure it out, no matter how difficult and dirty Pedroza got.
Have to go with Sal. He was so relaxed and cool in the ring, like he belonged there. And I believe he would get into his highest gear, like he did against Gomez, against Pedroza. But then again, Im a huge Chava fan so my bias might be my undoing here. But I am still very comfortable choosing Sal.
Yes but then again Pedroza had all he could handle vs Laporte and was lucky to not get DQ'ed, where as Sanchez handled Laporte with relative ease. So the Rock/Paper/Scissor analogy doesn't always work like that. But i understand what your saying because Pedroza was a tall rangy boxer, and Sanchez did have issues vs Ford who fits that description. Overall it depends how lenient the referee is to Pedroza's fouling, because he could be a very dirty fighter. But i do agree this fight could go either way, both fighters are some of the best 15 round fighters i've ever seen. They always seemed to know how to pace themselves so well for the 15 round distance. I'm going to sit on the fence and say a SD either way.
