The Margarito loaded wraps bull**** is the biggest myth in boxing.. there is zero proof of it and Naazim was a slimeball. He rubbed the wrap against drywall to create drywall dust which he claimed was a brick. Thunderdome boxing talk on YouTube proves all this stuff. Only Cotto’s pecker suckers like to make excuses for Margarito for beating his ass down

all pads are used to protect a fighters hands, or what exactly did you think their purpose is, to make the punches harder?

This BN24 link provides some more detail about Richardson's detailed account of what happened and the series of events as it played out -

Richardson's first objection was that Campetillo was putting tape directly on to Tony's skin.

At the California commission hearing, Capetillo testified his fighters use plaster inserts in training to protect their hands and these inserts must have accidentally been tossed into his training bag, and wound up in Margarito’s gloves without the fighter’s knowledge.

Margarito testified he merely held up his hands for his trainer to wrap before the Mosley fight.

Dean Lohuis, the former California inspector who pulled the hardened inserts from Margarito’s wraps before the Mosley bout, said: “Those pads were used in more than one fight. . . . The pad was dirty, used and looked like it had been around several times before. I’m convinced it was there against Miguel [Cotto]. . . . You can say it’s circumstantial but in my view . . . it was more likely than not.”

As stated in the LA Times article, Capetillo testified at the hearing that his fighters use plaster inserts in training to protect their hands. So the plaster inserts that were found in both of Margarito's wraps wasn't just Richardson's claim, it was also confirmed by Capetillo himself as part of his "accidental" defense as to how they got in there. According to Nazim Richardson, when he first entered Margarito’s dressing room, the “pads” had already been prepared but the wrapping process had not yet begun. Richardson said they were just beginning to work on Margarito’s right hand when he arrived. So anotherwords, Capetillo had already put the plaster inserts into the pad before Mosley's team even arrived. So no one had inspected the pads, they were just sitting there ready to be put in the wrap when Mosley's team arrived.

It wasn't just Capetillo admitting to putting in a used pad, but it was also him revealing his use of plaster inserts in training to protect his fighters hands that he put in there as well which was, according to him, "accidently" put into both of Tony's wraps. Used, worn discolored pads with plaster inserts secretly placed inside them. So not only did Capetillo apply tape directly to the skin, not only did he use a previously-used knuckle pad, but he also had placed plaster inserts inside the pad that hardened the pad. 3 separate violations of CSAC rules.

It's a shame that you're calling Richardson a POS for doing what he felt was right to protect his fighter who subsequently beat the hell of your beloved Margarito. He didn't put the old wrap in Margarito's glove. His trainer did. He didn't have the power to their revoke their licenses. The commission voted unanimously to revoke them because a rule had been violated. Be critical without spitting the dead man's grave!

Actually you have it backwards basically the entire boxing world now views margarita as a scumbag except his die hard followers who can't get over the fact that their macho hero let them down . You doubt multiple first hand accounts but expect people to believe some random youtube video instead? How do you explain why he fell off a cliff after getting caught? Coincidence? Please.

He didn’t fall off a cliff bonehead, he gave Pacquiao one of his hardest fights and then was about to crucify Cotto again but the eye injury suffered in the PAC fight caught up to him. You really think he could load his wraps for years and not get caught ? And the only reason Mosley beat him was because he was juiced beyond recognition for that fight. Mosley is a proven cheater, Margarito is not.
