Let’s say the seventies version of Foreman vs Early eighties Tex Cobb. obviously Foreman is a huge favorite and SHOULD win. But could Cobb’s Guts, durability and decent power give George any trouble ?
Why would you want to do that to Cobb? he was so easy to hit. I think Randall has the guts and chin to eat bombs for about 4 rounds until the ref stops it in a fight that takes 5 years off Cobbs lifespan.
Yeah @mr. magoo you big meanie No, I think poor Cobb takes a hell of a beating to be honest. It'd get ugly because he'd probably survive a few rounds with that chin of his, but from an offensive point of view, he's not a threat. He wasn't much of a puncher, and he was slow. The worst of both worlds.
I don't think it would be too much different from the Chuvalo fight. Dangerous for Cobb, very much so.
Yeah I don't really see how Cobb wins. Maybe if he shells up and lowblows Foreman to take some of the sting out of the offense and then a midget runs in with a chair while a hot blonde in the front row distracts Big George ...
Cobb was also trained in Kickboxing/Karate and defended his friend in a 7 Vs 30 street fight where the people had bats and crowbars, Foreman was a bully who rolled with a gang when mugging people, it's very possible Foreman losses here.
I suspect the length of the fight will be dictated by how brave the ref was... You are sick puppy mr. magoo for thinking this up!
Except we're talking about a 1 v 1 scenario, not cobb with his friend running from people and dodging crow bar and stuff. Foreman actually learned some karate and wrestling too. He often just beat up grown men on his own as a teenager taking what he wanted. Nobody in the the 5th ward thought to cross him alone.
I've never heard of Foreman doing any wrestling, rarely any pro boxers have trained in amateur wrestling. The only ones I can think of are O'Neil Bell, Terence Crawford, Kermit Cintron, Danny Hodge and Larry Holmes in his pre teens. Foreman himself even stated he robbed people with help of others, he stated that they would hold people down, take stuff then run away. I'm not saying Foreman couldn't handle himself in the street as of course he could but there's levels and I don't think he's on the same level as Cobb when it comes to an out of control environment. In a boxing match though any version of Foreman beats Cobb.
