Absolutely not. I picked Ennis by KO, because I thought this would be an easy win. You know me, if I think there's even a sliver of a chance of an upset, I almost can't control myself. I saw no feasible pathway to victory for Lipinets, he was a cooked goose from the word go.

Yeah, me too because that is the way it should be but you see the commentators didn't even mention Ortiz in the post fight interview. They went straight to Spence, Ugas and Crawford.

Disagree, man. It proved that a solid world class fighter stood basically no chance against this up and comer. Guy looks like a handful against any welter in the world.

I get the people are excited about Ennis, but seriously, Lipinets is honestly not that good.

His biggest claim to fame is losing a fight to Garcia, who was moving up from 135. His biggest win was against Peterson who moved up from 140 and was at the tail end of his career. Outside of those 2 guys, he's got nothing to show.

Lipinets is a guy that any decent 147 guy should beat. He's short and he lacks power at 147. Ennis need fight better fighters before I jump on the hype train.

Let’s all be honest here. No champ at 47 is fighting Ennis unless he’s a mandatory. None of them. He’s gonna have to bide his time until they’re forced to fight him.

This is why Spence vs Crawford has really lost it luster. There is 2 young guys in the division in Ennis and Ortiz that people feel can really challenge both guys. There was never a point when Floyd and Manny was #1 and #2 that the masses felt that Spence, Thurman, Porter, Garcia, Brook etc.. could actually challenge them.

Not true. Many felt Thurman would have challenged Floyd more than Maidana and Berto.

He’d never been dominated and destroyed like this. He was made to look like a can in there, and he’s not.

In a perfect world we have a 6-man tournament with Spence, Bud, Porter, Ennis, Vergil, Manny. How awesome would that be? Spence and Bud will only fight Manny and Porter at this point. Which sucks.

Had to this coversation with a friend. It has to be affective pressure though which Spence is one of the best at that. This is why I said Boots not ready for Spence yet as he's been calling out Spence and Crawford of late. However I peeped this weakness two years ago watching some amateur fights with Gary Antuanne Russell who beat him with pressure.

I do think he might pose a major problem for Crawford though.

I think Spence beats Boots, Boots beats Crawford and Crawford vs Spence is a pickem fight although stylistically Crawford will definitely trouble Spence

World class fighters don't need gifts against guys like Clayton and Bone. Quite frankly had Lydell Rhodes not gassed out he'd have needed a gift in that one as well. His biggest win is over the shell of Lamont Peterson that retired immediately after the match, and the fact that he won like two rounds against Mikey Garcia. Most top welterweights beat him, and maybe even a few that aren't even close to the top. It wasn't an impressive win, especially when you take into consideration that that literally looked like a light middleweight with Mr Fantastic arms fighting a light welterweight with thalidomide baby arms.

I didn’t realize there is a problem. I just said that the naturally bigger guy will most likely put a bigger beating on the same opponent than a smaller man will.
