Did anyone else see that barn burner of a fight last night at 115 pounds? That was non stop action filled with grit ,guts and determination. Ancajas was making his 9th successful title defense and this kid stepped up and gave him all he wanted. I thought Ancajas won but as usual one idiot judge had it 118 -110.

I put some carefully prepared vegetables on the grill after round 3 and just let them burn, I was transfixed. It might be my favorite of the year so far because of the immense heart shown by Rodriguez coming back strong after his own corner wanted him to quit.

I wasn't as upset about the cards and wanted the broadcasters to stop complaining. I didn't score it but I also didn't see too many clear Rodriguez rounds, it felt very "competitive but not close" to me.

Excellent scrap, and I agree, it might be my favorite fight of the year so far. Smith-Vlasov wasn't bad either, then when you throw in Courtenay-Bridges, the best chick scarp of the year and Ajagba momentarily killing Brian Howard. Yester might have been the best day for boxing in 2021.

Yeah. Ancajas took the vast majority of the early rounds for me. 1, maybe 2 went to Rodriguez. Oddly enough, Rodriguez really came on after getting dropped, and almost going down again several times from body shots. I don’t know how he managed to power through and actually do better, but he did. He swept the last 3 in my eyes.

I do think the cards were wide, but not quite so outraged as Bernstein was.

Great fight! I dont score when I watch....ruins it for me. I agreed with the outcome, but it seemed closer than some cards.

It was a big step up for Rodriguez. Imagine him in future fights. He has potential.

Had it 116-111 Ancajas. Really enjoyable fight, wish these lighter divisions would get mmore air time. Some great scraps there.
