How do you *know* what ‘Fury’s team’ is doing? You don’t. Hearn has been in the media lots this week because of his show, and he knows exactly how to set a narrative. As you’ve illustrated, people will naively lap it up without question.
Hearn flew around the world to meet with reps from the Reps of each country. Rumours are he went to Saudi, Qatar, UAE, Uzbekistan and China. This is where he would have had discussions with each side. The likelihood is he would have told each country to draw up an official offer to put forward to the teams. The deadline would have been midnight Vegas time last night. Hence why Hearn tweeted it’s going to be a long night. With offers coming in throughout the night. AJ stated in the tweet it was the First offer not the only offer
I’m guessing the others were kinda unofficial offers so maybe the hosts were probably showing interest and laying down claims to do it but one site has mustered up the cash required to actually host the event and is willing to have it fully backed financially
It'll be interesting to clarify exactly what Joshua meant by this. As far we we know, both fighters were going to review the offers yesterday (Sunday). Fury mentioned a few countries that had provided offers. This latest update implies 1 offer. Granted, Joshua isn't exactly a wordsmith - but it's still confusing. Does he mean they've collectively settled on one of the offers and pending final agreement it'll be sorted?
That's how I'm reading it also. The word OFFICIAL in capitals is significant I think. Perhaps that implies that there are potential offers from various locations (ie the ones Fury mentioned) but one official offer has come in now. A bit odd if Fury was reviewing 'unofficial' offers though. I'd have thought Joshua's post would be reliable. I doubt that's him writing it himself so that helps give it a bit more credence.

I think you're right which begs the question why did Hearn say he already had 4 offers, or whatever it was. Mr Slippery loves to play the martyr but its no wonder he seems to **** off the other promoters when he lies in interviews (or if we're being generous gives half truths).
Yep. And Joshua even said "Matchroom". So it doesn't exactly instill confidence. Fury listed a whole bunch of "offers" but you have to take that with a pinch of salt.
AJ might have received 1 of the offers, both Fury and Fast Car Eddie Hearn say they have each received 4. Hearn probably just sent the best one to AJ who wants it though recently it sounded like Fury and his Dad Big John were looking to back out.
Joshua said "Matchroom" received 1 official offer. You make it sound like Hearn has no respect for AJ at all. Making the decision for him and not showing him all the offers.
Big John Fury has ABSOLUTELY NO SAY in any of this, so I don't know why people think his utterings are of any relevance whatsoever to any deal. John Fury's in the same boat as the rest of us, more or less.
