Me neither. It's a business as well as a sport and Benn's team have a lot invsted in him with little earnings so far. If the numbers add up for a khan/Brook/broner carnival sideshow then I don't begrudge him and his team making some money. Of course as fans we have different wishes, but you can't win em all. Spot on analysis that. It looked like Vargas was saying something along lines of I'm not hurt and good to go, just give me a count and let's continue. Likelihood is they all know Benn's likely ceiling and hence a cash in with khan followed by some careful matchmaking will take him to a big money spinner at the very top which will be a free hit, win or lose the money will be made. For every Taylor there several yardes or Benn's that look the part only as long as the matchmaking is on point. Guess we just enjoy the ride for what it is.
Broner beats Benn, he's not getting stopped by Benn and despite being an idiot he has skills and he wouldn't allow someone like Benn to beat him, it would be a bit like Price v Allen as in Benn would probably be expecting to go in there and make a statement and end up being shown up.
I keep waiting for Broner to turn up. He's not got it at 147 imo. He will muddle his way through a fight but his punch output is too low and he can be outworked. Not stopped anyone at 147 and the last fighter he stopped was Theophane in 2016. Terrible attitude, long past his best.
That is definitely true and he's his own worst enemy, I just don't think he'd allow Benn to beat him, I could be wrong but I think that Broner would come over here, play the badman and possibly up his game a bit

Vargas isnt happy. I have to agree with him that it was a bit of a **** stoppage. Had it been round 3 or 4 of a one sided fight fair enough but this was 80 seconds in. You cant just end a fight when a flurry lands. This content is protected
I like Conor, will go out of my way to watch him fight a decent fighter. But don’t think he has the ceiling of others in his division.

I noticed that part of the interview too but it's to be expected now. Main eventing a PPV is like winning the lottery only the odds are massively better than the actual lottery. Del and the two time drugs cheat have set the precedent, any up and coming young British boxer will quite rightly think if those two puddings can demand a couple of million per fight why can't I ???
He was growing on me for a while but he is doing alot of talking, needs to calm done. He gets knocked out cold by a real LIVE opponent. He is obviously looking for a big payday was Khan, its a strategic call out. I dont see him calling up the real live current champs because he knows he will get his ass handed to him.
