I would have bet on Johnson against all of those mentioned opponents and I believe I would have had more money at the end of that run.
Depends on the rules of the era. But Schmeling’s right hand and patience knocks him out imo. The sport evolved - and quite frankly a lot of the guys Johnson beat don’t look too good. Sharkey would be a skilled battle that likely turns into a snoozer.
Jack Johnson might've been the gutsiest man of alltimes in or out of the ring, had to be one of them , for the constant threat of being shot or murderd. He was also very smart for the times, i cannot see any of them beating him maybe Schmeling a taciturn technician but an underdog all the same.
