That's your problem right there, people have a tendency to get conditioned into expected the expected, and make assumptions, because... this could never happen... right? Especially when all of the so-called "slick fighters. Well Boo Boo isn't all that slick. He's a whole lot of smoke and mirrors. All of his opponents have been made to order for him, but the two that haven't been, landed on him aplenty. That would be Jack Culcay and Vanes Martirosyan. Liam is every bit as skilled, if not far more so than those two. Boo Boo is chinny and isn't close to untouchable or infallible, now add in the long layoff, his age, his clear detachment and seeming lack of interest, lack of a fire that drives him. This could very well be the perfect storm. He's whole in ring style is an illusion. I mean, look how much Keeler landed clean, mercifully Keeler has pillow fists. This content is protected I already did, near the top of the second page. People really need to stop buying the Andrade hype. Because honestly, when it comes to great boxers, slick boxers, good pressure fighters, who the **** has he beaten?
I think a lot of the assessment for Williams is down to who has been facing since the Smith fights, rather than his actual improvements. I don't think he has improved THAT much, i'd be quite surprised if he does it
I don't really buy into "hype", I've actually been extremely critical of Andrade over the years. I still question his durability as well as his mental focus however I've come to the realization, that it will take an A1 guy to expose that to the point that they can push him over the edge. Williams hasn't shown me (in the fights I've watched) he can do this against Andrade's caliber. He simply hasn't. Can he if and when Andrade goes into one of his lapses? Possibly. But no one else has yet so I'm gonna err on the side that he won't. The Keeler fight, he had no fear of the incoming, he's not the first person to neglect defense when he doesn't fear what's coming in. That's not a big deal. And as for Williams being "better" and more skilled than Vanes, I vehemently disagree and I don't think my eyes are betraying me. Vanes fought damn near everyone considered "elitish" to a near standstill with the exception of Golovkin.
Boo Boo tends to start fights well only to fade/run out of ideas/get cautious from the mid-rounds onwards. Williams will not be easily convinced to sign up to this kind of fight and could well overcome the skill gap with commitment, power and consistent output in the championship rounds. He might take this with a late stoppage...
And? That was against a fighter that tends to come forward in Porter Your bound to get some rounds Boo boo not so much
i can't see a Warren fighter with a WBO belt being that much better as a champion (if you mean opponent wise)
Liam Williams has no chance unfortunately. He is a plodder at best and Andrade will outbox him winning a 118-110 type decision. As a Brit I hope I am wrong and will be tuning in to watch as I heard it's taking place at midnight UK time.
