Imagine if these two met up in the early 90's at super middleweight? Hypothetically that would mean Hopkins would have never fought down to middleweight lol. Hopkins was scrappier in his younger days, more ferocity, more punch output, definitely an executioner. He however remained a feared man even late in his career as a 28 inch waist human cadaver. He essentially took guys to school, bringing them to deep waters with efforts of drowning them. It makes total sense: more older, less Kos, more younger, more kos, more older, more selective punch output, younger, more blazing to let them hands go...

Then we have Vinnie Paz, a guy who called the boxing game in his own words, easy. Had the strength to come back from a broken neck even fought Roberto Duran! Him and Roy put on a good show very exciting fight at super middleweight. Paz too was a scrappy young man, imagine if he had Rooney in his corner who would win this scrap between a great big man versus a small great man? Not many people have come back from a broken neck, only list has ken shamrock.

Sorry if this doesn't make ones list as one of greatest mythological fights. I was gonna ask Hopkins versus John Ruiz at cruiser, but John seems to be in everybodies mythological fight list!

The lead up would be fun ..and funny ..i think paz ticks b hop off just enough for b hop to go off on him and really put a beating on him ...we all know b hop was known for his tactical warfare...but I think with this one with him being young and paz and co mouths ...paz takes a bad beating...he stays in it as long as he can cause hes vinny but hes going to the hospital to have his face stitched up after this one

Absolutely perfect analysis. And I must say if you can beat a prime Roberto Duran you can beat anyone. In this fight boxings greatest heart & bravest champion ever over comes facial devistation to overwelm Bbop with punches in the 14th round.
