Prime for prime- Not for the title, ten rounds I think it’s going to be a back and forth war for four. How I see it is either Tommy denting Mike early for the full count with a wicked hook or Mike surviving the shootout and putting Tommy down hard in about the seventh for a full count.

Moorer was a lot more skilled than Morrison but Tommy might have had too much power for Moorer, Tommy got off the floor to beat Ruddock and there`s no way Moorer could have done that, exciting fight one way or the other. Moorer landed more punches on Foreman than Tommy did until getting sparked.

I would take MM in this one. Both guys could be hurt by the others power but MM was the better technician and more complete as a fighter than Tommy. That gives him the edge to me but with that said, Morrison could catch him at somepoint.

As others have said, Moorer was more well rounded, but, either fighter has the capability of stopping the other man. Moorer was always susceptible to punches early in a fight. No way Moorer could have taken the shots that Mercer sustained before turning the tables on Tommy in the 5th. It would be a fun fight to watch. But, I wouldn't bet 10 cents on the outcome. Too unpredictable.

Michael Moorer for being a better all around fighter. But I’d love to see this. Might be a good scrap for several rounds

I agree. I think ,most of the time, tommy would catch Moorer early. But yeah, Without doubt MM was more durable & had more stamina. If he gets through the first 5_6 rounds, the momentum swings to him.

MM the more skilful but Tommy had much more power. Was Moorer good enough to avoid getting tagged all night? Maybe but I think Tommy catches him sooner or later. Its a 60-40 kind of fight imho. Favouring Morrison.

Good Lord. You could hardly think up a worse match for Tommy, who couldn't deal with southpaws, couldn't take precise powershots, didn't know how to avoid combo's and was a guppy when sharks were going for the kill.

Tommy fought two southpaws in his career and he slept the pair of them.

Cement footed Mick gets landed upon sooner or later and when he does hits lights out for his glass chin.

For southpaws, Tommy fought a Russian nobody cruiser who gave him fits and a not-quite-Adonis brawler with a bum knee (and I love me some Joe Hipp) who took him to the brink and broke his jaw.

These are not quite the same as Mike Moorer.

Moorer wasn`t more durable, he was stop with one punch by Foreman and stopped by Holy who couldn`t punch like Ruddock.

Morrison was easier to hit than Moorer.

So why wasn't Foreman able to turn Morrison over for the count as he did with Moorer?

He still ended them. . Nobody said Tommy wouldn't struggle with Moorer. They both would struggle.

Ill take the bigger faster and harder hitter to struggle less
