Anyone know what time ring walk is due at. I’ve seen Eddie say 11/12. Would be hoping closer to 11.

Andrade by stoppage at 2/1 is buying money. Williams has never been at this level, plus he's got quit in him.

I don't think anybody is saying he is elite level but you don't need to be to beat Williams. Andrade will make him miss alot and generally stink the place out. Not sure Williams has an answer to that? He hasnt really fought anybody with similar attributes has he?

I'm viewing it more on a punting angle, I don't have time to go into an in-depth breakdown but I agree he hasn't fought anyone with similar attributes.

I don't think he will struggle though and I'd be surprised if he does, people forget that Williams can box as well.

and Andrade has the most padded record of a champ going! He had close split decision victories to Culcay and Martirosyan and was dropped by Alvantez Fox.

Williams never quit. He was winning the first Smith fight comfortably, he got a very bad cut across the eye from a headbutt and his trainer at the time Gary Lockett stupidly threw the towel in. It was a dumb move they should have just left the ref stop it and it'd gone to points and he'd have won.

Smith was down by a lot after the first 5/6 but he was getting to him. He had won the last 2/3 rounds. The tide had turned and Williams was gassing. Smith would have stopped him a couple of rounds later.

I agree with you that Lockett shouldn’t have threw the towel in though. He probably knew what was about to happen and did it to make Williams look better and hard done to.

Personally don’t see the fuss with Andrade. He’s a good athlete sure but he has this reputation as some sort of slick boxer with dazzling footwork. I think he has quick hands, rangy and awkward. But I think his footwork is terrible - he’s wide stanced and when he comes forward he’s constantly losing balance throwing wild punches. I think Williams will start to get past his jab after a few rounds and then walk him down and begin to beat him up. Andrade doesn’t look like he knows how to fight on the inside

If Andrade looked like Liam Williams people would just say he's a boring defensive fighter with a padded out record, no career defining wins and terribly inactive for a World Champion. Andrade looks like he's straight out of a 90s hip hop video so he's slick, I'm not buying it just like I never bought that Andre Ward was this super slick ring master

Don’t be surprised if Andrade stops him.

I was actually quite surprised at the size difference at the weigh in. Given that Williams tends to be a come forward, pressure fighter nowadays, how's that going to work against a bigger opponent?

I only see Williams winning if he's been overlooked and Andrade gets dragged into a slugfest which I don't think Williams is able to do.

Can see Williams being competitive for a few rounds until Andrade starts to bust his face up and TKO's Williams in the third quarter. Hope I'm wrong though, us Brits need to get our titlist quota back up after a pretty bad few results.

I must be missing something with Andrade though because his footwork is horrible. Flat footed, wide stance and completely off balance when he moves forward.

I actually see it completely differently. Andrade might look good for a few rounds, Williams starts to close the gaps, gets inside and starts to beat him up. Jack Culcay style

Yeah the tide was turning, but we'll never know what the outcome would have been same as Froch-Groves 1.
