BJS is making excuses about the judges, not having an English judge, the result being fixed, Eddie Hearn arranging Canelo vs Plant in September etc. In his heart he knows Canelo is better than him. He admits Canelo is pound for pound the best. When you go into a contest like this as the underdog your job is to go in there to rip the title away from the champion like my guy the magnificent Lloyd Honeyghan did to my hero the great Don Curry. He did not ***** about the judges, rather he bet big thousands on himself told Curry he was going to break his face etc and he did.

Given the track record of dubious officiating in Canelo fights, Saunders has reason to be angry.

These are the same things Fury said leading up to the Klitschko fight. Just a gypsie calling it like he sees it.

This has been his strategy since the fight was signed. He's been banging the drum on his worries about the judging, sounding like a lot of posters on this forum suggesting that Canelo has been the beneficiary of some favorable decisions in the past. At the same time, he has claimed that he's a big fan of Canelo and even has refered to Canelo as his idol.

So this is an interesting approach, essentially going from one extreme to the other. There's a lot of reverse-psychology going on here. He's setting the table for what he worries about most in an overt way, hedged with over-the-top praise and fandom of Canelo to cover both sides of the coin. It's definitely a unique approach, and we wouldn't expect anything less from Saunders. We knew this would be unlike any other opponent Canelo has faced, and that's a good thing. How this tactic will play itself out remains to be seen, but Saunders is bringing something completely different to the table than we have ever seen before.

    Saunders isn't complaining.
He is just confrming the pre-filled scorecards.
Nothing to see here. Move along.

It won't go to the cards.

Saunders isn't going to jab and hold for 12 rounds and cop a decision in front of 70,000 Mexicans in Texas.

This is like the Chavez-Haugen matchup. These guys are on very different levels.

And if Saunders' kid takes a swing at Canelo, he'll get his head caved in, too. (LOL) Saunders isn't fighting Willie Monroe.

Canelo is going to take him apart.

I find this comment interesting in describing Mayweather Canelo.

"Mayweather dominated from bell one to bell twelve. He scored with clean, accurate shots and allowed virtually nothing to land in return—forget the bogus punch stats."

Forget the bogus punch stats? Well, those power punches landed were pretty darn close for a fight that Mayweather supposedly dominated bell one to bell twelve. He couldn't have been referring to the jab numbers, of course not.

Oddly neither of the other two judges had it anywhere near a "bell one to bell twelve" domination. So we have pretty much every metric available that goes against what he's saying. Forget about the bogus punch stats, forget about the other two judges scores, hell forget about everything that happened in the fight and lets just call it a bell one to bell twelve Mayweather domination. Mayweather allowed virtually nothing to land in return according to this dude, but yet the punch stats suggest otherwise. The highlights suggest otherwise. But everything that really happened, that all had to be bogus because it was all so different than the Mayweather bell one to bell twelve domination.

He's not going to jab and hold, he's going to jab and use his foot speed to keep his distance, use awkward angles to land then back away. It might look a lot like the early rounds of Amir Khan vs Canelo. And the difference between Amir Khan and Saunders is that Saunders is bigger than Khan, more awkward than Khan and isn't chinny. If Khan could win many of the early rounds vs Canelo, then why can't Saunders? Yeah I mean I know a lot of people are predicting Canelo to pick him apart, but I think you are underestimating Saunders.

He is very capable of avoiding the kind of big shots that others have ran into vs Canelo. I think it will be very likely to go the distance. I just do not think that Saunders will allow himself to be caught with big shots. He has the foot speed to keep his distance and land from the outside. It could be very low output. I do not expect Saunders to engage in a fire fight, he's going to use his skills, keep his distance and try to win rounds by hitting and not getting hit.

His refer to the crowd numbers was to do with the purse, was given less money on the assumption that no fans would be present

Amir Khan? LOL That fight was six years ago. And Canelo nearly killed him, regardless.

Alvarez is a grown man now. In his physical prime. Destroying large people. Saunders is pecking and poking. Holding. Trying to 'outcute' opponents.

Wrong time. Definitely the wrong place. Wrong opponent. Saunders is in for a terrible beating, if he doesn't quit before it's completely handed out.

Nobody needs to concern themselves with judging. This is going to be a big Cinco de Mayo party and Saunders is the pinata.
