That was my first thought. But his team will need to do some work to determine what the lie of the land is. Delaying a fight with the Liam Smith v Kurbanov winner would be the wrong move if the winner of Small Charlo v Castano elects to stay at Junior Middle. They need to be in discussions with Liam Smith's representatives, Kurbanov's, PBC & the WBO to get an idea of what the future state of the division is likely to be. Very tricky. They need to make the right moves to avoid getting played or frozen out. A Castano win in the unification fight would likely mean a rematch also. They need to factor that in. Maybe that lazy $10m they have sitting in the bank could come in useful after all.
Rumours going around that Lucas Browne was KO'd in sparring. Browne is denying the rumour saying he has all his sparring videoed and its not true. Reckons Peter Mitrevski is spreading the rumour.
No doubt we will all receive a screenshot of a message from a mate of a mate who is dating the sister of someone who was there and saw it all happen. Like all those NRL rumour mill texts. Who so many of my mates swear are real because they got it from someone in the know.

Great to see Harry Garside included in our boxing team for the Olympics. He somehow didn't manage to qualify at the Asia & Oceania Olympic qualifying tournament & then the repechage tournament in Paris was cancelled. Australia has been given an extra place under a quota system & it's gone to him. As a gold medalist from the Commonwealth games in 2018, that's a sensible decision I reckon. With a bit of luck in the draw, he's capable of sneaking a medal. Those are the types I'm always happy to see go to the Olympics - people who are capable of delivering a medal for us. We have a few chances for medals in the Olympics. The Light Heavy, Paulo Aukuso, was a revelation at the Olympic qualifiers. He fought both the gold & silver medalists from the 2019 World Amateur Championships in what was his first international tournament. He beat one of them & fought on even terms with the other for four minutes (and who to my eyes looked to be close to the best amateur boxer in the world). If he brings that form to the Olympics, anything could happen. And then we've got the big gun.
* Maloney vs Franco in final stages of neg with July in Aust likely with brother Jason fighting . * Ferocious vs Lopez will be on Main Event which will be headlined by Holyfield vs McBride. * Jack Asis offically retired and will continue on as one of head trainers at Smithy's TG Gym. * Showtime has a big five mths of boxing let's hope Fox shows them which they usually try to. Lucas Browne looks like he has switched camps now with dreamtime? From the video I see Gallen certainly has a definite shot of winning
No result would surprise me I actually feel a bit sorry for Browne I wouldn't mind seeing him KO Gallen.
I dont particularly see any benefit for Gal winning this. Because he will still probably get a lucrative Sonny Bill fight. Whereas it would be pretty humiliating for Browne to go out like that and there is talk of him fighting Huni. Another little payday for him and a fight with some significance for an up and coming talent. I'm fairly certain Browne will win and I'm probably gunning for him aswell.
Agreed unless Browne is completely shot I don't see how Gallen can avoid getting clocked with a bomb for a full 6 rounds cause even if Gallen tries to keep it close the whole time Browne has a pretty good uppercut that I could see him getting the KO with
