If DAZN get this new super league then i dont see why he would stay. Sky would become a sinking ship.

I agree, Sky are finished the moment they lose Hearn/Boxing and the football.

I subscribe to Sky Sports, I would have binned it off years ago if they didn't have the football, the boxing died on Sky when they started doing those "NxtGen" cards.

They gave us a preview of what was to come with those NxtGen cards, if they are not PPV cards then it's some bang average crap.

There is every chance. Hearn hasn't signed a new deal.. yet

He will go where the money is, Hearn is all about numbers, he says so.

If Hearn has the chance to earn himself and his fighters far money money on DAZN then he will be gone before you can say "Adam Smith".

This could be all a ploy, he could be squeezing Sky for more money, really pushing them to pay more for his product, but I think he has his eyes on DAZN, especially now they are in the U.K.

Its about the football. I dont think Boxing is going to make a big difference to them. The income they get from that will be very small compared to Football, Cricket, F1 etc

The new European Super League could be a killer for Sly Sports if the Broadcast rights end up pay per game on a streaming channel.

Yeah this could end up bad. Even if the big teams stay it will completely devalue the league and the knock on effect would be huge.

To be honest im getting sick of football now. Ive watched less and less games over the last few years and even less this season despite being able to watch more. Sounds old fashioned but its lost its soul now. The game is just a playground for the rich and what football used to represent is gone.

Id love all fans to boycott this and go support a local club but they wont. People always have FOMO and will just follow the crowd regardless of what it represents. A few PR stunts and they will all fall in line.

Nope it’s a power play. Uefa were due to expand the champions league further reducing the rights money of the big clubs who are already leaking money pre Covid.

the clubs are now doing this to make a stand and say they want a bigger slice of the pie. Have to start a negotiation playing hardball. That’s what this is.

Agreed, gonna copy what I wrote on another forum sorry!

Genuinely surprised at the levels of hysteria this is generating on social and mainstream media. A lot of naivety from people as to what nonsense their club 'stands for' and stuff like that. Football clubs are businesses, putting shareholder profits first and foremost is nothing new, and for the most part everyone looks the other way because they want success.

There has been talk of a 'European Super League' for as long as I've been watching football since the back end of the 90s but I just can't see it happening at all.

What the clubs want is more power over the Champions League, bigger percentage of profits etc. but vitally, they want guaranteed places regardless of where they come in the league. Pretty obvious when the so-called 'big six' in England - the country where the super clubs are probably most at risk of not making the CL automatically are at the heart of this. Indeed, such superpowers like Tottenham (five CL/EC appearances in their entire history, only once making it past the Last 16) and Arsenal (four years since they were last in the CL).

They've played UEFA a bit this time, obviously going along that they were happy with the 'Swiss system', but eventually, they'll terrify UEFA enough that they give in to their demands, expand the Champions League to 40 or 48 teams and guarantee places for anyone willing to kick up enough of a fuss.

Nobody is getting 'sanctioned' or kicked out of the PL or CL, fans will look the other way and pretend this didn't happen, and the world will carry on for another three years until we go through this circus again.

Agree completely. Heard this morning that the TV rights deal for the champions league is £3.3 billion and only £1.9 billion goes to the clubs. So UEFA keep £1.4 billion of it?? That’s ludicrous and understandable they want to cut uefa out if so

Hmmmm i dont think so. Either way ots going to devalue the demestic leagues. A euro super league is inevitable imo.
