you guys got some good australians fighters evedough im not from there i know there good names like bika, mundine, briggs, soliman, green i think bika is the best one in those names and would beat mundine
Based on achievements against top fighters, I think it has to be Rocky Katsidis. Consider how well he did against Joel Casamayor, who IMO is the second best lightweight in the world, nexk and neck all the way anyones game to the end when the veteran pulled out the win. Now, when Mundine fought the second best supermiddle in the world (Mikkel Kessler) he was soundly beaten, in a fight that wasn't really competitive. Everyone else is quite a way behind at this stage, Sakio did well on the contender but is likely to do well against a top 5 fighter. Soliman, though a legend of a guy is getting past it, and Dib is completely unproven.
I like the look of Geale. I expected Ajetovic to give him some problems in the recent fight but Geale cruised past him in a very good display. Ajetovic would give alot of the good middleweights a tough time so Geale looks a very good prospect. Mundine is a joke.
We'll agree to disagree. Geale has challenged Mundine. Mundine will avoid him like he avoids any serious threat, same reason he's avoided Bika and only fought cab drivers.
Like him or not Mundine is still number 1 on my list of Aussies. In My Opinion (trying to be unbiast). 1. Anthony Mundine 2. Michael Katsidis 3. Vic Darchinyan 4. Lovemore N'dou 5. Sakio Bika 6. Ranee Ganoy 7. Kali Meehan 8. Daniel Geale 9. Sam Soliman 10. William Kickett 11. Gairy St Clair 12. Jackson Asiku 13. Victor Oganov 14. Daniel Dawson 15. Billy Dib 16. Leonardo Zappavigna 17. Jamie Pittman 18. Shannan Taylor 19. Nedal Hussein 20. Hussein Hussein 21. Robert Medley 22. Lawrence Tauasa After this its starts getting more difficult to judge.
10 rounds to 2 isnt a sound enough beating for you.he wasnt lacyed but he was flogged never in the fight.but still yer mundine is probably our best at the moment.
not a bad list but can u plz explain to me how Tauasa is not in the top 10? P4P he would beat most of them
Yeah but he lost. Using your logic I could throw in a few other current guys that have competed and lost against world class opposition, Lovemore N'dou springs to mind! Witter, Cotto, Mitchell, Malignaggi etc. I think Kat's great but on career achievements I would not have him as our best current fighter right now.
It doesn't mean he isn't either. Who knows, it's just my opinion based on what I've seen, and I'll be the first to admit I haven't seen it all. Geales undefeated, and has looked absolutely fantastic in his last 2 bouts against strong opposition. I think his style and ability to maintain good composure when under pressure is excellent. He also stays busy and keeps coming. As I said though, it's just my opinion.
