Vlad could beat any HW who ever lived!

Against ATG fighters, he would have to fight like he did pre Steward. His style today makes it VERY hard for b- and c level fighters to beat him, but against guys that are good enough to get through his pawing jab, he'd be in trouble unless he throws big punches.

I wouldn't bet against him, he'd be just too big and strong for a lot of ATG's. He is very dominant in this era. Haye might be the only fight out there for him down the line.

My thoughts are that Wlad is evolving into a better version of Lennox Lewis.. in which case, shouldn't he be hailed the same way Lewis has been?

 

Yeah right, Wlad has hit the canvas more times than picasso's paint brush, and most of the knockdowns and TKO's he suffered came from journymen fighters. Wlad is offensively ATG material all the way, but his lack of mental toughness and weak chin would leave him in trouble against the heavier hitting ATG's as well as the ones that had the heart and chin to take his punches without falling apart.

I think Wlad could beat a couple Heavyweight ATG's, but he would lose to the most of them imo.

Wladimir Klitschko is evolving into a better version of Lennox Lewis? In his biggest fights, Lewis took it to his opponents whereas Wladimir has been reluctant to throw a right hand. In addition, Lennox Lewis could take a good punch whereas Wladimir is seemingly vunerable to every right hand he is hit with. He is an okay champion, but comparing him to truely great ones leaves a bad taste in my mouth when he has done nothing to earn it.

Muhammad Ali would have outboxed him, Louis would have starched him, and Foreman would have scared him into a coma before the bell.

 

Take Lennox Lewis away from Hasim Rahman - was he any more than a perrenial journeyman?

Take Lennox Lewis away from Oliver McCall, a more robust career than Rahman but again, would he have been seen to have had as much talent as people now suspect?

If we're judging people on how they lost outside of their primes, why do we hold Mohammad Ali so high?

 

Because Muhammad Ali and Lennox Lewis beat better fighters in their primes than Wladimir Klitschko has done in 60 contests.

We don't judge Wladimit Klitschko on his losses, it's his performances in his victorys that we judge him on. Lackluster.

 

Rahman had a few decent wins before Lewis, so I really dont think he was journeyman coming into that fight, McCall was, but he proved himself to be a pretty good fighter and got wins against tough opposition, like Awkinwande, Sineal Sam, and Maskeav. Only Brewster did well after he beat Wlad, in which held the belt for 2 years. Sanders got his ass beat by Vitali and lost against a nobody, Purrity lost numerous amounts of times after Wlad, I think he's up to about 20 losses by now.

I guess the only point I was trying to make is, Wlad has proved in the past he can be knocked out by just about anyone on a given night, were not just talking about one time, but on 3 seperate occasions this happend, I believe it's only a matter of time before it happens again.

I suppose that theoretically most anything can happen in boxing. However, there a fighters who aren't anywhere near ATG level who would eat Vlad alive.
