I agree its a tricky one, but i will go with brown by ko, because its a 6 rounder, if it was a 10 round id go gallen points.
My picks for tonight gents. Corredor UD Moss. Stab in the dark, No nothing about either but heard Corredor a bit more experienced in the amatuer ranks Ill leave the next fight. As I know even less about either of those guys. Though I'm sure Rados is the "opponent" for this one. Jackson Murray TKO 3 or 4 Webster Teaupa. He will be to awkward and slick for 2 rounds, then he puts a tired Teaupa to the flame. Forces a stoppage. Zappa KO4-6 over DK. Danny has got some moves and will try to make it scrappy but the power of Leo will be telling. I'm picking Tarimo to pull a minor upset and outwork Kye to a 10 round split decision. Steve Spark KO6 Jack Brubaker. He holds most of cards in this one but I think he will be a little surprised by Jack's size and heart. He will have to chop him down. My god Jack's physique is insane, he must really train the house down. Liam Wilson UD Francis Chua. ESB's favourite adlay might pull off a stoppage if he works the body from an early stage. But I think Chua's awkwardness and impressive conditioning will make it a gruelling fight for Liam. But he still should win clearly. Lucas Browne UD6 Paul Gallen. I actually think Lucas will play it pretty safe in the early rounds against Gal. He will work off the jab and tie him up when he gets in close. He doesn't want to have his pants pulled down by a footy player, so best not give him even a sniff. He will rock or even drop Paul in the later rounds but Gal will scrap it out till the end.
Chua vs Wilson will be a good fight & be closer then people think imo. Chua is very awkward Kye is the outsider, if he can regain the form he was in 4-5 years ago he can win but if he's not at that level he'll get outworked & beat (he should never of left Linc originally they were a good team) Browne has to win, no 2 ways about it if he wants another pay day but I'm not confident at all even though I have bet on him to win
Nothing I said was crazy, just my opinion. Although Gal is certainly the A side and Allen has never won a fight that went past 7 rounds. Those are facts
Gal will come out fast, its the only way he knows how and also his best option lol. Browne has to hit him hard and early or he will just get bullrushed. Out of all the options early KO by Gal seems least likely My opinion 1) Gal decision 2) Browne early KO (1-3 ROUNDS) 3) Gal late KO (4-6 ROUNDS) 4) Browne decision 5) Draw 6) Browne late KO (4-6 ROUNDS) 7) Gal early KO (1-3 ROUNDS) Gals biggest advantage is work rate, and heart Almost everything else is in Brownes favour. Not to say Browne never had heart because he got off the floor against Chagaev. However he was definitely younger and ped'ed to the gills like a superman at the time. His effort against Allen was shameful
Just seen Brubaker odds, might interest a few here?? I never seen Spark however heard quite a bit... Main event?? Fighters n promoters prob bet on same outcome event like this?? Draws always a good bit of insurance.. All things being equal no way Browne loses this one.. Gallons average club fighter at best, not really even state level belt challenger... Got to respect what he has done in boxing however... If he does somehow get up tonight good luck to him, if he doesnt then so be it n he had a go..
In terms of pure boxing skill and talent Gal is indeed not much more than an average club fighter. However he is a world class athlete, with a great work ethic. He no doubt has the nutrition and training schedule to match. He is a full time fighter now and the average club fighter definitely isn't. Point being he would whoop the average club fighter or even state champion in a 6 round boxing match every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Only top tier full time amateur/novice boxers would beat him. Browne was very good in his prime, but he is only after pay days now.
Gallen v Browne tonight!!! Oh Yeah!!! Whose pumped? This is a massive fight!!!! Two big bad heavyweights going toe to toe. Yeah doggy this is what Aussie boxing is all about two fair dinkum tough blokes getting it on!! I am shadow boxing right now just thinking about it. PPV baby the only way to watch this epic battle. Or head down to ya local with and meet up with ya mates for a few cheeky schooies yeah boy! YeeeeeeHaaaawwwww!!!!!
Unless Browne is completely shot i can't see how Gallen could KO him being such a smaller fighter, Browne at worst would just smother him and last 6rds. If Browne is in any type of shape and hasn't lost it completely, than im expecting him to seriously hurt and KO Gallen.
