Which other boxers have you seen who have made such a rapid improvement like Conor Benn has?

Benn just caught him cold, jumped on him and did a job.. fair play, but the reaction to the win has been way over the top.

The biggest problem for me is, with Vargas they billed him on those defeats, not his wins, it was all about who had beaten him and how long they took.

So we were going in to the fight talking about a "loser" and not a man coming to win, not a man who was on a mission.

This is why they have suddenly suffered memory loss when it comes to Avanesyan, he will come to win, his career and possible title shot will be on the line, he will really come to fight and he is dangerous.

They don't want that, they want Khan, even if Khan beat Benn, Khan isn't and wouldn't be on the verge of a title shot, it would just be a payday for Khan and then he would vanish again.

I am led to believe Avanesyan's team have already reached out to Hearn about Benn and haven't heard a thing.. yet, which is fair I suppose with Hearn trying to do this Fury AJ fight but I am rather certain Benn won't fight Avanesyan any time soon unless there really are no other options.

 

Yeah cos this Vargas had fought well known boxer in Spence Jr who had finished him in 4 rounds.
He also had fought vs Danny Garcia, this boxer had finished him in 7 rounds.
Then he also had fought now popular prospect Vergil Ortiz Jr. who had punched him 7 rounds until he had get finished.

Can you imagine if the Porter fight got made, end of round 8 and Porter is walking past Benn to his corner, smiling as the brat is gassed and out of ideas. Don't get me wrong, Benn doesn't have bad conditioning but Porter would take him to places he isn't ready for.

 

2-3 years ago young Benn wasn't supposed to get to even national level. He's already broken through his supposed ceiling and proven his detractors wrong. Congratulations to Conor, and 2 fingers to his detractors!

I'd like to see him in with Chris Kongo next and prove his mettle. Of course that is not in the script.

 

Yeah he's definitely done that, gone way beyond what many thought but I think it would be bad for his career to put him in with Porter right now, he gave Spence Jnr his toughest test yet and took the belt from Garcia prior to that, Porter is the real deal.
