Johnson is his own worse enemy. While there were some valid personal reasons for some of his two year layoff, a lot of it was self inflicted like the bicycle accident and thinking he was worth top money after the Beterbiev fight so not signing a Matchroom extension. If fact Buatsi suffers form similar self inflicted issues for his inactivity. With him it is not fighting through the normal injuries that most fighters have so he has extended injury breaks. Also I doubt whether he actually likes boxing. He might be good at it but I always think that he would prefer to be a missionary.
I also agree Johnson is world level but I wouldn't mind seeing these domestic fights if they came to fruition quickly
