I am a Crawford fan but I have to say this is a duck. Manny signed the contract, why didn't Terrance? Also, a much bigger fight in the Middle East happens in the same way, both fighters put their signature to the contract and then the country who put up the site fee agrees as they know they have both fighters confirmed. See Joshua vs Fury for how this is done on a much bigger scale. Crawford not fighting makes me think that he is only in this for the money now and is not interested in legacy. He should be happy to take a 20/80 split with Manny as his whole career as a WW would have been validated. Now the PBC criticism seems like it is somewhat justified
How much were they offereing Crawford? They probably low balled him. Why would he duck a guy who he would destroy?
Y'all tripping. Bud has been BEGGING for this fight. The fact that Pac signed and he didn't shows he was just talk.
There is nothing in Crawford's makeup that even gives a hint of him being a man who would duck. He is just not made that way. He don't play games and he ain't taking no shorts. Who else would walk into Earl Spence's dressing room and confront him. Not Pac, Thurman, Mikey, Porter or Garcia. Crawford's only mistake was to resign with Bob Arum. He can't get a fight and that's killing his career. Why should he take shorts from any fighter when his career is winding down and he haven't made the money he should be making. He knocks Pac's ass out for short money and then he really won't be able to get a fight. Being a money generator is his only hope of getting them busters over at Haymon's to bite.
The contract can be signed though, regardless of venue, right? Or is Crawford just hoping for a cash out?
Nahhh man, spence way too big for pac, pac gets cooked. Thats why he targetting those two smaller dudes.
Pac signed his contract. He signed the contract because he received the final version, same as Crawford. He signed it because everything was agreed to. You think he's just gonna keep signing drafts as they come in?
Everything was agreed to, that's why Pac signed the contract. You think Pac's just signing drafts as they come in? For fun? Like with every matter involving contracts, you negotiate, review drafts as they come, and then sign the final contract once everything is agreed to.
Crawford's been publicly begging for the fight for years. The old man signs off on the contract, but he doesn't. What does that tell you? Crawford also ducked Porter and said he wasn't interested in Ortiz.
Used to think this of Bud as well... But he clearly has zero interest in fighting Porter. And now when it came to Pac, we saw Crawford lose his pen after the old man said let's go.
Who's reaching? I'm using common sense. Everything was agreed to, which is why Pac signed. The fight is contingent on the site fee coming through, yes, but that doesn't mean the fight itself and the split and everything else can't be finalized and accepted. It's no different than signing a legally binding purchase agreement for a house that is pending a roof passing inspection. Like Pac said on video, he wanted Crawford in 2016/2017. Crawford wasn't trying to see Porter or Ortiz, either. A pattern has emerged.
