I think Diaz just lived through a recurring nightmare I have where I'm punching and punching at someone and they just keep coming.

Man, I like Navarette. Comes to fight. Not showy, just a lunch pail kind of guy. Diaz put up a brave effort but Navarette is just too big and awkward.

I felt like Beranga was a bit exposed tonight. He's a big puncher and can take anyone out if he catches them but he showed poor stamina and ring generalship tonight.

i used to have the same recurring dream. i would throw shots with perfect technique(in my dream), and it felt like i was punching with a ball of cotton candy. and i could feel my desperation mounting as i tried every shot i knew how to throw with no effect. at this point, i usually realized it was a dream cause nothing was making sense. havent had that dream in years, though.

Just watched the Berlanga fight, his knock out streak had me interested. I was certain that Demond Nicholsen would be the one to end his first round knock out streak and he was. Nicholsen is a good pro I saw his fight years back against Steve Rolls who I know is a good fighter from working with him in the gyms here in Ontario. He had a good fight with Rolls lost but was competitive the whole fight. After that he won all his fights other than a loss to Jesse Hart who was amongst the best super middleweights in the world at the time. Berlanga who has put together an incredible first round knock out streak was definitely taking a step up. In the fight Berlanga showed the power is real. Throughout everytime he seemed to touch Nicholsen it rocked him. Nicholsen whos a good pro stuck in there some of the fight just looking to survive and also sneaking in a few good shots but Berlanga was too much. Berlanga I thought won every round some by two points because of knock downs. Everytime Nicholsen looked like he may steal a round or put something together Berlanga would land and wobble him. Nicholsen hung tough to go the 8 round distance and the ref let the fight go. I think Berlanga will likely have a few more fights and then challenge for a title. The guy has some real serious power his workrate wasn't the best throughout the whole fight and he did get tired late in the bout but it seemed like everytime he landed it did damage. Berlanga without a doubt will be a exciting prospect to watch in the future and this was his first real test.

LOL at Berlanga not being able to outdo Ali Raymi.

Lets be fair: Berlangas opponents are better.

Navarrete tells him, that he usually throws combinations of dry hits, which are doing damage little by little, he is not a one-hit knocker.

    Diaz looks like Paulie Malignaggi.

I was thinking about Arguello- Pryor I in the last round. Navarrete hit Diaz 15 times unanswered until he fell. The ref just watched the fight lime the rest of us and ultimately didn't stop the fight; the doctor did when asked to by Diaz' corner.
